Thanks for the feedback. Simpson is in Hollywood and been there for a looong time. Seems they are pretty proud of themselves. Pass on that for what you are doing. Distance would be a factor on the others from you.

I need to know what to do on my locking pawl alignment. The one on the passenger side (right side) is fine but the drivers side (right side which is the adjustment side for backlash) is off quite a bit. I have the backlash right at .008.

The alignment shop uses degrees in their software for toe instead of inches. What should the 1/16" to 1/8" toe be in degrees? Edit: And should the settings be the same side to side?

They won't clip on if the linkage isn't in alignment i.e. z bar. They should almost go on by hand. I use a needle nose pliers.

Overcharge is subjective. $100-150. is about the going rate for a Thrust angle alignment. Check 4x4 shops for recomendations on who is in your area.

Quick question: If my intake manifold fits perfectly with no gasket but then I add my two intake gaskets and the manifold is too high the: Would the right amount to have the machine shop cut off on each side be as simple as the thickness of the gasket?

Grab some longer trans to bellhousing bolts and cut the heads off. Then screw them in and use as alignment dowels.
