Can’t get Harland sharp rockers to fit on head?

Yep... back off the adjusters ...tighten down the shafts.... then set the preload. If you can't get the shafts all the way down with the adjusters backed out you need custom cut pushrods... two threads showing on the pushrod side is the recommended setting...

    Too much fuel?

Sounds like your plugs are fouled. Clean them and try that. Add timing. Did you degree the cam upon installation?

    Custom ground camshaft, low power

What type carb? What size carb? You definitely should be making over 365 horse at the crank. That's small block horsepower. lol

    Clutch vs. Electric Fan

I hear ya! That one inch you gained is a lot. I know because Ive been down this road before and one inch is a country mile. lol

    Clutch vs. Electric Fan

You need a shroud. That is a damn good radiator you have but air is blowing all over the place under the hood. It needs to be aimed towards the engine. The e-fans never worked very well for me so I went with mechanical fan but if you just don't have the room then you don't have room. Mopar just...

    What like this?
  13. mullinax95

    340 Cuda

If the cuda is a rust bucket and ready for the heap then I would turn it into a drag car but if its in good shape and a nice restoration is possible Id have to go with moparker. True Formula S cars aren't dime a dozen. You might look something like this if the cuda is in nice shape, YouTube...

New torque converter?? (and cam question)

I'm a little chicken when it comes to stock mopar valvetrain. I installed a .474 lift Mopar cam and took out a .425 lift cam in a 273. The adjustable valve train had been ditched at some point. I was going down the highway and lost a cylinder.... turns out the push rod came through the stock...

New torque converter?? (and cam question)

Now you're getting somewhere... go where your heart tells you to go DadGum... First of all when you call Dynamic or the other place and give them your information don't be surprised that they recommend a stall higher than what you have in mind. They might even recommend something like 3500...

New torque converter?? (and cam question)

I saw this on a wall at a engine parts supplier " Us picking your camshaft for your motor is like us picking your next girlfriend" I took it that they got tired of people asking which camshaft they needed in their motors. You need a camshaft matched up with the rest of your motor basically...

    650 or 750 holley

750 DP on my 360.... love it! It's also good to note that Vac secondaries do better on automatics and manual secondaries do better on manual transmissions.

    Purple Shaft 280/280 cam

I guess you can say that. It's set at 900 RPM. It has a 4-speed manual trans and has 11" vacuum at idle. I could drop it down I suppose but the car responds better with it a little on the high side when pulling off from a dead stop. I have since fine tuned it since the video in which I retarded...

    Purple Cam Design Question

Why hasn't Mopar Performance come out with newer cam design over the years? It's like they made the cams we have today, shut the doors, and said "That's good boys it's a wrap!" I run a .474 MP cam in my 360 by the way. lol

Holley Street Avenger 770 for 408?

I have never seen anyone really go by that chart... they always went bigger on the carb. I never have went with they advise. The stock Thermoquad that most mopars engines came with was 850 cfm if Im not mistaken. I would listen to moper anyways! :toothy10:

    Roller cam idle RPM

I just realized something this morning that I didn't notice last night(it was late). You have a roller cam so it's hard for me to see anything could happen to that cam with the oil pressure you have. Even if you drop the RPM down some more. Now I'm not a engine builder guru or anything. Send a...
