    8.25 Strength

I have ran an 8 1/4 in my 440 duster for 30 years with street tires. Holding up to 500 hp. and lots of torque! I once considered a change. If I were to go to the drags often maybe I would.

    Electric fan wiring??????

I am wiring in a Spal dual fan unit with sepatate fuses and relays. The directions are generic for use in all vehicles. Leaves somewhat to be desired. Needless to say some troubleshooting has been done to get everything working properly on a temporary basis. I still have an issue or two before I...

    Howd you start likeing mopar?

First thing I can remember was my dad had a 1957 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer, black. Then he bought a 1963 Dodge Custom 880, new. In 1971 the 880 was my first car after my older sister and brother got done with it. Since then I've had a 73' Roadrunner 318. A 73' Charger SE, 400, 727. 73 Charger...

Anyone ever pull a small block out of a van??

For some reason I didn't see it that way on my 73 1 ton Tradesman. Easy to take off the intake and heads, no bs settin on top the engine in those years and the dash allows a little more clearance out the side than the 97. But then I just couldn't bring my self to dismantle the whole front end...

Anyone ever pull a small block out of a van??

I pulled and replaced a 318 out the passenger door of a 73' Maxivan. Remove the intake and heads and pull the shortblock. Pretty easy that way and goes back in the same way. No need to mess with the grill, core support or cut anything. Take out seat and door.

    Instability Question

Yes Joe, I asked Ron if he used stock specs. He said yes. He sat down and read the Mopar Action publication and we talked about it some. He said he was open to new ideas and went to work. He also found and fixed a problem with the Pitman and Idler arms that largely was responsible for the...

    Instability Question

Ok Dave. I read your earlier post the 1st time and copied it, all 5 pages! I plan on discusing these specs with my alignment guy. I also look at all other possibilities to be on the smart side. I examine all the possibilities and elliminate them one at a time until the car handles. Thanks again...

    Instability Question

Yes, as I said in an earlier post. I went from a 71 disc brake setup to a 73-76 BBP disc brake setup. swapped the spindles side to side to mount the brakes in the rear to clear the sway bar and such. Something definately changed the dynamics for sure. Can't change it back now, just need to know...

    Instability Question

The only way I can reply to that Joe. Grilliot's Alignment shop. It is their specialty. They have been in business since the Model T. Probably 3rd generation. Ron Grilliot, the current owner is older than I. He aligned it himself. Every hotrodder and musclecar owner in the area take it to Ron...

    Instability Question

Ok forum friends, now I think we are getting somewhere on this problem I am having with Mean Green. I researched "Bump Steer" like Green1 suggested. While I was looking the Duster over yesterday, checking all the components for looseness, I didn't find any looseness. I did notice that when...
