it was a whine (hum) on the acceleration side , got real noticeable starting at 30mph and at 50mph the radio would not even drown it out. no $ back from U. S. Gear yet. They did say it would take some time cause of the channels I bought it through.

Well I put the original oem gears back in, set the pattern as before, test drove and quiet as a church mouse, First try. Now I get to see if U. S. Gear will stand behind their product and refund me. Seven attempts on those, did not matter where I put the pattern.

You can kinda see the wear pattern in the third pic. It looks ok really frustrated! definitely ring and gear noise. Are those gears ever bad new ? These were manufactured by Strange We called them and they said only a handful have ever come back.

Any one have advice ? got a new ring and pinion, carrier is only out by 1000th pinion is set to spec and cant get all the noise out of the drive side, marking ink shows them coming together nice. go figure ! had it apart 5 times now. Is there a spec or trick I don't know ?

I have had mine apart 6 times now installed a new ring and pinion and now I can't get the noise out of it. Pinion is set perfect, after 35mph it gets louder and louder on the drive side. Marking ink shows them coming together nicely go figure ! any advice anyone ?

I have a 64 automatic cuda anyone know where I can get a nice set of floor mats. My interior is gold with the darker brown-gold carpet. 1967 cuda is as far back as I am seeing. Would that be the same ?

Any body know if those were painted over with the car originally, or are they that plated silver color I see underneath. All I have seen in the past were the color of the car (most likely not removed when repainted). Not sure though. Thanks in advance for any replies, and MERRY CHRISTMAS.

To avoid confusion ...it was the old clip retrofitted with the firewall stud. These new clips do not detent into the molding properly no matter what is done to them.

these are 1964 barracuda rocker molding clips I would think the same for 65 and 66 if the molding is the same. The rocker hole is 5/16.

Ok to coin a phrase ; ya got to think outside the box Certain suppliers (I'm not naming them) want us to use these new rocker molding clips that don't even come close ! the edge profile is all wrong and they are 1/8 " too long...half day of trimming 20 of these suckers and they still don't fit...

Well I kinda got most of it figured out ..its a combination between the rear glass channel adjustments and the adjuster screw for tipping the vent window assembly in or out.....and this is all done after one gets the door lined and shutting right....I think this is my last restoration project !!!!!

The channel for the glass and attached ss divider strip seems awful wide (the channel on the inside latch side of door with the felt on the inside) when the window is partially rolled down or all the way down it is fine but when it is rolled all the way up there seems to be way too much play in...

The foam pieces pictured below came from the front lower fender area somewhere, Somewhere is the key word here. I made a note on a piece of paper but I can't understand my own description, go figure. Yep my very early 64 cuda has one, it is gold to match the interior It had a few minor sun kinks in it not as bad as your picture. I fixed mine with some pinch clips and outside sun baking for days and days ... looks good now. Most of them got thrown away upon windshield replacement.

Been way too long. Could someone tell me what should go back into the doors first. I would really appreciate the advise. I don't want to do anything twice. Oh it is a 64 Barracuda.
