:D Glad I've never used that smiley - I too thought he was giving thumbs up!

    42RH / A-500 in a Duster with pictures.

Thanks Chief and RedFish. Cable is probably a very good way to go. I wasn't thinking cable at all - more like doing som custom bell crank setup, so this was a great push in a better direction! Thanks.

    42RH / A-500 in a Duster with pictures.

Gearing up to do this A500 swap (have found lots of great information in this thread - thanks!) this shifter option discussion caught my attension. Is this the final word on this - couldn't the shifter controls be modded to fit? I might be mixing things up here, assuming console shifter is...

    What goes here? [340 intake]

Hmmm... I must be blind since all I find there is "QUOTE", "+ ""(multi quote) and "QR", no thanks ... Is it a browser dependent thing perhaps?

    What goes here? [340 intake]

BTW, how do you "thank" someone in the board so that it's added to their "total thank" score? Was thinking of thanking Rick properly for the picture even though he has plenty of "thanks" allready.

    What goes here? [340 intake]

I think I'll leve that mount empty. My car is a '75 and this 4bbl set up I just for fun, even if I want it to look sort of correct. Also, the TQ I have is later than '71. The original 2bbl parts will be kept for the day I want to go the resto route. Thanks for the quick replies with pic and all!

    What goes here? [340 intake]

Probably a silly question: I'm cleaning up a '71 340 TQ intake and am shopping around for the correct bits and pieces needed for a nice 4bbl set up. Looking at the intake I get confused :tard:. There is some kind of mount just below where the carb throttle linkage will be. Googling pictures of...

Good to hear! Thanks a lot for the quick replies!

Diffrent timing cover - single/dual chain?

Reading a thread about something totally different, I got the impression that the poster needed to get a different timing cover for his dual chain timing set to fit. I'm putting a new cam into my '75 318 and are going to change timing set at the same time since it still has its original set in...

340 air cleaner w/ delete plates?

Putting the actuator from a 2bbl cleaner I have is something that I've allready been thinking of! I would probably leave the tube deleted for now.

340 air cleaner w/ delete plates?

In most people's eyes, I probably payed to much but I've got a happy "buy it now" finger... I payed $50 - I had been looking for a '72 with the flapper and been wondering what to do with the tube just going nowhere. So when I saw this one and it was the cheapest I've seen, I bought it. Now...

340 air cleaner w/ delete plates?

That's what I think too. Looking at it again, I'm thinking the orange patch on the underside might actually be the door that goes in the snorkel. About price dropping - well, that's why I bought it :)

340 air cleaner w/ delete plates?

Couldn't help myself and clicked the "buy it now" for this air cleaner today. It will be a couple of days before I have it in my hand so all I have to go on are these photos from the listing. It looks as if it's a '72 340 cleaner with the flapper in the bottom rear of the base. However, the...

Need 8 1/4 part nrs from 76+ parts book

Just to end this thread with my experiences from the bearing replacements. Turns out that the change from smaller OD to bigger OD diff bearings happened some time during '75. Timken catalog differentiates with early/late '75 and it seems correct since my '75 actually use the later bigger OD...

Need 8 1/4 part nrs from 76+ parts book

Thanks daliant! Is that the only difference? (I.e. Can I use all other part from a 76 up rebuild kit for my 75?) Anyone have the part number for the 76 up cup/cone?

Thanks everyone! Good to be here. It's an export - sold here new. Most likely the only Hang 10 in the country (Sweden isn't exactly a surfer country). I'll try to research it's history better - however, I know the original owner is dead but having such a cool car, he must have had kids!

Thanks bluNblu! Well, it's a 318 with a 904 and 8 1/4 rear. Very complete original car, a little rust in the bottm rear qarter panels - not to bad. Needs a new carpet and som other bits and pieces. Plan to drive it as it is this season, put a more powerful engine in and work on front end...

Need 8 1/4 part nrs from 76+ parts book

I'm trying to figure out what really is the difference between the "75 and older" and "76 and up" 8 1/4 rear ends. The differential rebuild kits are distinguished in this way (even though I've found one kit for "75 and up"!) so there must be some difference in one or more of these components...

Hi everyone, new to the forum - as member and poster. Recently picked up a '75 Dart Sport, so I guess I'll be hanging out here a lot from now on!
