no replies talk about hose diameters. my s/b 340 has 1/2" and 5/8' hoses for heater core. i would like to know : what dia is feed and what dia is return? i want to backflush heater core. i can't get heat. have no shutoff valve at present. this would help all us newer mopar guys. thanks.

been scratching my head on this for a long time, but now i seem to have it figured out. 340/727. have someone push accelerator all way to floor and hold there. open carb all way. push kd linkage all way back and hold. adjust or screw kd cable so inside of slot just touches carb throttle arm...

do as valiant mike suggested. drill& tap to next & reduce back. don't compromise. do it right the first time.

thanks for quick response. i am running a mech fuel pump, elec ign., and elec choke is hooked up. i have a one way chk valve that i was going to put in fuel line after filter. i thought if the fuel was siphoning back to tank this would stop it.

have 340 sb.with carter afb 625 cfm carb (comp series). problem is: after car sits for 4-5 days, when i try to start it, i have to crank & crank to get fuel back to carb. any ideas? this is my first mopar. a friend says they all do it. i can't believe that. thanks. jerry

have 340 small block. i have man brakes now, so booster will be no problem for me. you may have to offset your booster if you elect to use one. remember, you need around 19# vacumn to use booster. if you go to p.s., ck out your headers for clearance around p.s. gearbox. good luck.

in regard to" steer & gear" co., i am real happy with my new p.s. box. only have driven about 50 mi since install, but have good road feel, not like orig. recommend them highly. sorry i could not respond sooner. jerry

i bought coy's c-5 wheels. 17x7-5x4" 4 1/2" back spacing. 225/50/17 tires. od same as 215/70/14. 2" wider. tires do not hit anywhere. don't have pic, but sure brought car to life. do yourself a favor, buy a set .you won't regret it

just replaced my chewed up tuff wheel with the 860. didn't need any adapters. just make alignment tool to line up holes in ctr. of wheels. rotate to desired position, using spacers between, clamp in 2 places. allow space to drill same holes from one wheel to the other. tap holes as needed ...

i forgot to mention. i have a 750? cfm carter comp series carb on my 340. i wonder if the dims. from centerline of throttle plate to center of throttle linkage is same as original carb. mine is 1 1/4". also, is carb linkage & kickdown linkage supposed to be on same linkage arm location? or...

i'm thinking if i could get it to stay in each gear longer, it may stay in passing longer. maybe,maybe. what do you think?

i don't have a tach,so i don't know rpm shift point. linkage is stock. if i remember right, before i readjusted linkage as mentioned, the arm was in the middle of the slot. then i had no passing gear. it must very touchy.

my demon 340 /727 shifts way too quick. adjusted kickdown lever all way back with carb wide open.have passing gear in this position. screwed k/linkage 2 turns in or 2 turns out, makes no diff in shift points. also ,passing gear shifts out at 60 mph. is this right? if i just take off easy, it...
