I just installed a new p.s. box this weeked and the way I did it was installed the gear hooked up all the lines, filled p.s. pump to full cold mark and proceeded to turn to left and turn to the right quite a few times it will belch burp etc air. watch the fliud level and add as needed all of this was done without the motor running. After it seemed that there was no more air I topped off the pump and started the motor and it did not make one sound. So it must have worked. Let me add this was not a "steer and gear" firm feel p.s. gearbox it was a stock replacement but this should still help.

sounds like a simple enough way to bleed p.s. i will try this. my gear didn't come today as i expected. probably tomorrow. also, i see you are from tucson. i'm retired and spend winters in casa grande. my daughter lives in tucson, so we are there quite often. also know some guys there that are into cars big time. i,m in mich.but will be there dec 1. will let you know my results. thanks.
