I have too much slack in axles. Took it apart and that part between axles is missing. Looked at an extra 3.91 I have and see it in there. How do I put the missing piece back in. Needless to say, but this is my first rear to mess with. 1st-pic is of extra 3.91 2nd is of 3.23 out of car.

I decided not to rebuild the 1976 OD a833 trans that came with my 68 cuda. I called Brewers to order a rebuilt 833 but they are backed up 14 weeks. I can't wait that long. Where else should I look for a good reman a833 a body 4-speed? Like warranty, I don't want to mess with a mystery...

I have one I took off my 68. I assumed it was going to be bad , bought a new one. Turned out to be very clean. Should have left it in... Lol. Let me know if it's what your looking for. PM your number and I'll text you some pics.

Welcome, I'm in the same process as you. Looks like we caught the same Fish..mine is white as well. At least for now. This is my first Mopar adventure, and everyone has been patient and most helpful. Good luck and enjoy.

I'm working on one as well, came as a roller, now it moves around the yard at least. 1.5 years.... Pretty good pace for a working family man..... Lol

Need to know what this one goes too. Came in a box with my 68. I'm running a 383 and have been reading I may need some big block linkage. Hoping someone can run the numbers.

I have to install all new front disc brake lines on my Cuda. I meant to do it BEFORE I put the engine in , but I got too eager :banghead: I got the car when it was taken apart and I don't have a visual on how they route around everything. I have the pre-bent lines but not sure where to...

Thanks for the info. Does the lower radiator inlet clear the oil filter. Thats the problem I'm having. Any chance you have a pic of the set up in your dart?

It's a 22 inch. Thinking may just go with a 26 , trim out the radiator support and move on.

What size is the radiator 22 or 26 ? Also how much? Thanks

Thought about it but that leads me down a road of changing more than just finding the correct radiator.

The lower inlet is right in front of filter. I need a big block radiator but can't find one that is in my budget. I'm wanting a factory look.

Thanks, good idea. , but I'm sticking with the factory exhaust manifolds. I like the look of factory. Plus I'm not too worried about too much performance. I'm thinking the 383 is going to be more than enough to push the little vert down the road. Crazy power in a vert makes me nervous :burnout:

Looking for a big block Z-bar for my 68 barracuda . Has 383 ci. 4 speed. Turns out the one a have is for small block :banghead: The linkage needs to be for my 833 with hurst factory shifter that I believe is a 77-78 model.

I Just don't want a aluminum race looking one. I like factory look better. Doesn't have to numbers correct. What does your old one look like?
