I dont know his name but there is a guy in Louisiana that has a 66 Valiant with a 3000gt motor, I met him at a milk plant. So it has been done. Personally, I wouldnt ruin something from Ma Mopar with a Mitsuleaky motor.

Kudos for sticking with it no1newb!! It sure feels good when you can do the job yourself.....and like everyone else said, safety never takes a holiday!! Working without jackstands is just asking for trouble. Great Job!!

I think your right I dont remember seeing a clutch master cylinder. I really dont want to do that much work. A v-8 swap in a early A is task on its own. I guess I will have to find a different tranny then, I would really like to have 5 gears though. Thanks for all the input.

The 273 is about 230-240 hp I had it built close to commando specs. I dont know that much about the later manual transmissions that chrysler used, so I didnt know if it would work or not.

Would a manual transmission from a 3.9l work with a 273, I think its a NV3500, but not sure? When selecting a carb for a street motor Ive always used a volumetric efficiency formula which is (cubic inches x max rpm)divided by 3,456 = carb cfm. Its always worked very well for me. Once you do the math, round up to the nearest size carb.
