I agree with DeCon being a bad choice due to the fact that it is intended to ATTRACT mice and such with the intent that once eaten, it will kill them. We defintely want to keep critters away!

Wow. Good info. Thanks. I did pull the hose from the carb fitting and it stalled instantly. I will look into a new PCV valve as this looks to be the original one, or it's ay least very years old. I just need to research the correct PCV for replacement. Thanks again.

I just did this conversion my self and used Lokar stuff. I ordered the 24" throttle cable. I had to trim about 8 - 10 inches.

Update. I used JB Weld, and it worked great. I also bought a core BBD for $30. I was nervous about the JB Weld, and swapped the fuel bowl onto my carb from the core I just got, then did a rebuild. So, we will never know how the JB Weld would do long term...

Hi all. I discovered that my new to me Carter BBD has a cracked bowl and is leaking gas. If I by a cheap core, would it be possible to swap the middle section (bowl) of the two carbs out?

Bought this from Dick's Sporting Goods for $30. Made up of two foam blocks and some straps. I have driven this set up all over at highway speeds with no problems.
