    Honestly...how good was the 318...mpg / durability / hp

A few years back I had an old ram pickup with the 318. The body eventually fell apart ( Canadian winters ), so it got scrapped, but it still ran great. It was driven to the wrecking yard with 600,000 km on it. The engine had never been apart. I was very stringent with regular oil changes, and...

    Fold down rear seat

That's great, thanks. Can take some pictures tonight. Bought it a couple of weeks ago at Mopar fest in New Hamburg.

    Fold down rear seat

Got a good deal on a fold down rear seat for my '69 Barracuda. Is it a simple bolt in on a non fold down car? It has hinges on either side and looks like shims on the flat part of the hinges. I know that I am going to have to change the seat back with my upholstery, but other than that will...

    A/C hardware

    Anybody? :(

    A/C hardware

Finally tracked down all the missing a/c pieces for under the hood of my '69 Barracuda. Looking for pictures of the correct hardware that holds down the steel lines and dryer to the inner fender. Also the condenser. I have some of the clips still on the steel line, but not sure if they are...

    Goodbye to the 80's!

Sorry, no. Took off the Centerlines before the stripe went on.

    MoparFest - Ontario Canada Aug 19-20, 2023

Will be there. Columbus the week before, than Moparfest. Going to both in my buddies '69 Charger R/T. 440-6 pack, 4speed. Long drive to Columbus (about 5 hours one way for us), but that is half the fun!

    Goodbye to the 80's!

Haha... thanks for the input guys. A few different opinions but I kind of prefer the stock look for this particular car. I thought of the rally wheels, but to me they are too common. Don't see the stock wheel covers very often on the '67-69's.

    Goodbye to the 80's!

The car is a 318, column auto with p/s and factory air. It's just a nice daily driver. I didn't hate the Centerlines, but I wanted something more subtle. I'm going to hang on to the Centerlines. They are a big bolt pattern and perhaps will end up on my next Mopar. lol

    Goodbye to the 80's!

Got rid of the Centerlines and put the original wheel covers and side stripe back on. Much better! What do you guys think?

    Bumper jack

Good morning all! Not sure if this is the right place to post this. I recently found a correct bumper jack and base for my '69 Barracuda. Can anyone please tell me what the correct colour for the base, ratchet mechanism and lug wrench should be. Is the mast also painted, or should it be silver...

    Manifold gaskets

    Super! Thanks again. Pete.

    Manifold gaskets

Yes. Thanks! Been a while since I worked on a small block. P.S. Does coolant run through the bolt holes like it does on the big blocks? Do I need to drain the rad?

    Manifold gaskets

Quick question guys. Looking at pictures of exhaust manifold gaskets for a small block. What are the two small keyhole shaped gaskets used for? Thanks, Pete.
  22. Peter L

    Exhaust manifolds.

Car is in storage, so probably spring before I can get at it.

    Exhaust manifolds.

I'll give the no gasket method a try. The manifolds have already been surfaced. Thanks for the info! Pete.

    Exhaust manifolds.

Good morning all. Got a great deal on some 340 hi performance exhaust manifolds. Any issues putting them on my 318 as far as gaskets are concerned. Should I order gaskets for a 318 or a 340? My car currently has headers, and I am taking them off. Thanks, Pete.

    A/C help.

That's great. Thanks Jim for the info and the detailed pictures. This project is just getting off the ground so I will be in touch. I'm sure I will have some more questions. Pete.

    A/C help.

Thanks for the input. I'd really like to keep the engine bay looking stock if at all possible. Going to Columbus in a couple of weeks, so maybe I'll talk to some of the vendors, or other guys with factory A/C cars. Worst case ontario I may have to go the vintage air route. Thanks again!

    A/C help.

Good morning folks. Trying to get the A/C working in my '69 Barracuda. Previous owner removed all the under hood pieces. Some of the parts came in the trunk. I have the compressor and all the engine brackets and one of the lines. I can get the condenser and receiver dryer through the...

    Dash cluster dilema.

Hi guys. Sometime, probably back in the '80's, a previous owner hacked a cassette deck into the dash of my '69 Barracuda. I want to put the original thumbwheel radio back in. Question: What year, model of A bodies will interchange as far as the plastic dash bezel is concerned? It's a factory...
