    1968 340S Coupe 4spd

Been a long time and thats ok. I bought a second 340s 4-speed body and now Im going with that configuration- almost the same as the red car except for buckets and maroon color with white stripes. Awesome. I could use some help from the group on how best to proceed on sheet metal. The trunk...

[WANTED] 68 Barracuda notch rear sheet metal

Looking for full quarters and trunk sheet metal for a 1968 notchback coupe. Located in NJ. I've seen the skins available, but the tops of mine are rotted so I need the area around the trunk lid. Also need trunk piece that is between the floor and shock hump. Looking for solid OEM metal for...

Thanks- the stuff I am wondering about is which options changes things within a year, too. 4-speed hump, a/c firewall holes. Stuff like that.

Barracuda unibody year to year differences

Wondering if the 67-69 notchback unibodies are essentially the same part or if there were any changes. I know the 67s have the VIN on the driver door sill and the 68 and 69s have them on the dash pad, but otherwise are they the same? How about 68s and 69s? I am looking to possibly replace a...

    1968 340S Coupe 4spd

Thanks for all the input guys. I am still wrestling with the options. I want to do the car justice in the end. I will drive it but i want it to be as faithful to the original article as po$$ible. Any consensus on which method is considered more original? Seems to me that a good condition body...

    1968 340S Coupe 4spd

Ok guys- I am thinking about contracting some of the frame work to a local reputable shop and I need a plan of attack. The shop works with DIYers all the time so he is willing to do a bit at a time. With the light disassembly I have done so far I have found that the frame is in very rough...

Only be worried if it is not a XEROX machine. They have their security straight. the other cheaper guys kind of left security off the list of features! http://www.xerox.com/information-security/enus.html May 18, 2010 - Multi-function Printer (MFP) Security: What You Need to Know to...

Should I sell it? What's it worth?

Surprisingly, the (serious) prices mentioned here are right on and it sounds like you are not hopelessly in love such that you would expect to get more $$ than anyone else would pay. If I were you, the car would be worth more to me than I could expect anyone else to pay. I wouldn't sell it...

any 80s rock you like to listen to in ur mopar?

Yeah, kind of sucks, too, because I don't think he meant it. "I'm not racist, I have plenty of black friends" is one of the most racist things you can say.

any 80s rock you like to listen to in ur mopar?

My take is based on growing up in the 80s- rolling my 67 notch 1987-88 with hideaway head unit and two 6X9s blaring. And Justice For All just came out. Sweet Child of Mine was on the radio. First of all there is nothing that comes close to Megadeth and Metallica. That stuff was underground...

    Upper A-arm bolt removal

Bolts stay put if you torque them properly since you stretch them. The never seize just makes it so you can loosen them when the time comes. I hear ya, but- where's the fun in that???:banghead::violent1::tard:

    Upper A-arm bolt removal

Dude- its so bad I am embarrassed to post in my resto thread. I went through a can of PB Blaster and cannot recommend it. By contrast, I wouldn't even consider WD-40. Sili-Kroil rocks the house. I have had the same gallon jug since 1989... but I think that will last only another week or so. lol

    Upper A-arm bolt removal

I forgot to mention that raising and lowering the suspension was also probably important to freeing things up.

    Upper A-arm bolt removal

I just did mine on the passenger side- car was sitting for 30+ years. Broke the front one, but enough of it protruded that I could pound the bolt through the bushing. I also used a prybar between the bold head and the frame tab. The rear one was also frozen, but responded well to heat with rapid...

New Summer Promotion Starts NOW -- reserve your spot

Sounds like a great deal! For the newbie: are any of the original finishes for the a-bodies powder coated or is this for non-stock restorations only? It would be cool to know which parts came from the factory with which finish. I am doing a mostly stock resto (for now) and not sure if any...

    1968 340S Coupe 4spd

Slow progress but disassembly is continuing... What is this? It is mounted to the inner fender on passenger side. Stock? I didn't see it mentioned in the SM. It has a "Bendix" sticker on it.

    Body cart

As I continue to strip my car I will need something to mount it to so I can move it around. Any recommendations for carts or other methods to keep the car off its wheels but still mobile enough to take to the body shop? I'd like a rotisserie but they are expensive and take up a little more...
