I am trying to determine what camshaft is in a rebuilt 1969 340. I pulled the timing chain and sprocket off. The end of the camshaft is stamped (Z 509). does this mean anything to anybody.

I have a 1969 340 that has been rebuilt....not sure what was done to it and I am trying to find out . It has the stock intake on it..I also have an old holley street dominater .Not to worried about the extra wieght.....should I be looking at a new intake are the new ones that much better.

I am swapping a 318 to a 340. I am learning as I go . I would like motor and tranny to come out as one...is this the easiest way to go. I have removed the hood... should I remove the front grill and cross member also.
