    '65 Barracuda 'S' rear springs

Hello all, I am not sure how old the rear springs on my '65 Barracuda 'S' might be. The car seems to have a bit of a low stance in the rear, and I am wondering how much the springs might be sagging. Also, they are not the correct, stiffer 'S' springs. Would somebody have a similar car with newer...

    1965 Barracuda rear defogger

Interesting, maybe they just determined that it helped increase air circulation.

Greatly appreciated, I am going to contact them first thing monday. I checked and believe you are correct, the springs are tired. There is a company here that re-stresses springs. I will go chat with them also. Thanks again

how to slightly lift '65 barracuda tail end

Shifting to another topic. Can some one suggest the best and easiest way to put a slight lift to the tail of my '65 Barracuda. Most of the aftermarket stuff I have found seems too tall. I am only looking for 1' or so.

    1965 Barracuda rear defogger

Yes, the shorter panel does have that cut-out, but not the metal trim. Yep, I am also a contractor trying to find time to enjoy the cars in this improving weather, but that darn work won't get out of the way. Go figure.

    1965 Barracuda rear defogger

Cool, Thank you very much. So I had come to an incorrect assumption. Do you know what were the reasons for the different panels? My 'S' has what looks to be the original short panel, and I have a long panel for a '65. But I have separate metal trim for just the longer panel. Did both types have...

    1965 Barracuda rear defogger

I have been trying to figure out how the rear defogger worked in the '65 barracuda's, and what equipment was needed. While doing some research regarding the defogger, I learned that, in the '65 Barracuda it was only available as a dealer add-on. As I understand it there was a blower somewhere in...

    1965 barracuda trunk privacy panel

Thank you, that is very interesting. I have only seen one set of dash switches for the heat. Do you now where the switch for the defroster was located, or what other extra material/equipment would be in those cars to make the defrost?

    1965 barracuda trunk privacy panel

Hello FABO, For a 1965 barracuda, it seems that there are two different shapes for the tilt-up trunk separation panel. One type extends on the right side to enclose the quarter panel void. The other type does not have that extension. I know the 'S' has a kidney shape for the wider tire. Did the...

    Question, 65 Hurst shift knob

Thank you all for the great feedback. So, my car would have been black, no pattern. One more question: was the original 1 7/8" or 2"?

    Question, 65 Hurst shift knob

Hello FABO, Does someone know what shift knob came with a 65 Barracuda 4speed. My car is an 'S' with Hurst shifter and black interior. Were all the knobs white, or did some come black to match the interior? The floor trim plate has the shift pattern, so did the knobs come plain, with no shift...

I need to remove and slightly relocate the stainless carpet protector plate near the accelerator pedal, on my Barracuda 'S'. From under the car I do not see any connection through the tunnel. Could someone help explain to me how these are mounted, and how to remove it. Thank you FABO, Richard
