68 and 69 valve covers are totally different.

You can get those at any good auto part store. A whole pack is like $6.

Your car is a 1970 with an October 10th build date. That means it was built October 10th, 1969. A car built October 10th, 1970 would be a 1971. If you want correct date coded manifolds they will need to be dated before October 1969.

68s are not the same as 69s. They much different.

Good used ones are $200-$300. A new reproduction is $120 ish.

You could make the shield and tack it on in about 20 minutes. Other than that shield they are the same as 318 valve covers. That's my plan. Im not going to spend a bunch of time and money looking for a right side, 68 340 valve cover when I have a perfect 318 cover sitting here.

68 had a stove pipe on one and a spot for a pcv on the other. 68s also had all of the plug wire holders on top. The ones in the pic below are 1968, 340. 318 covers look exactly the same minus the large wire holder/shield (painted black on these).

What year range are you looking for? 2 door, 4 door or does it matter?

Tossing a new carb at it is an expensive fix. 3310s are great carbs.

What's wrong with the 750? That should run well on a 340/360.

You are better off getting a reproduction for $100ish, new. Good used ones, even in driver condition go for $250-$300.

Nice 69 grilles are hugely expensive. Be prepared for sticker shock.

Many of the round body plugs used in our cars can often be found at a good hardware store if you take the time to search through the drawers in the nut and bolt section. The ones I got at Ace Hardware were exactly like the originals, made by the same manufacturer and had the same markings.

There you go. Better jump on it. Someone doesn't know what they have.

What we are saying is that a nice, new, reproduction, will cost less than a crappy, pitted, scratched, original.
