I put mopar XHD springs in my Dart, and I am VERY happy with them.

It works on my car, but I am not running super stock springs. I have mopar performance XHD springs in mine.

You have a number of choices. Rancho, Calvert, QA1, Koni and so on. It all depends on how much you want to spend. Rancho has a chart on their website for their 9000 shocks the shows all lengths and ends. You can figure out from that chart what shock you need. They were used by Calvert for years...

how about the rear suspension from a Magnum, Charger or Challenger? I have been tempted to measure my Magnum to see how wide it is.

Cal tracks will also work on multi leaf springs, but work best for drag racing with mono leafs. I agree with what was said about the front suspension. It is very difficult to put a front suspension together that will handle and also work good at the drag strip.

Not sure, but you might want to fix the rust hole on your mount!

Rancho has a chart on their website listing all their shocks by the ends, length and travel. If you download this chart you can figure out which shock will work for your application and buy it locally. That way you also get an adjustable shock that will work on the street and the track.

I agree with the XHD springs. Put them in my 68 Dart and I love them!

That is also way I like them. I always wanted to build a car that looks like a high dollar drag car but have it be a street car. I love the look of the 1970's Super Stock drag cars!!

Maybe I am wrong but if you want to go cheap get an adjustable pinion snubber. Don't get me wrong as I love the caltracs but what they do is to control axle wrap. A pinion snubber will do the same ( but not as well) for a lot less money. JMO

Keep plugging away at it and in no time it will be a driveable car again!

I got one at princess auto for cheap. CTC will also have them for until $20.00
