Finally took my Demon down the 1320

By the looks of your 60 foot time you need to look at your suspension. With the et you are running your 60 foot should be quicker. Get that until control and 10's should not be a problem. Really impressive pass for a street car!

how to pick a class to race in

Bracket rules are up to the track and can vary a lot. Like was said check with your local track to see what you might need to do to the car before you arrive. Good luck, and have fun!

    collector extensions and improved ET'S

Had a conversation once with an VERY experienced super stock racer and he said that the perfect collectors would be one's that would fall off in high gear. On most small block cars that don't have as much torque as a big block cars collectors will help make more bottom end torque. The only real...

Car Bounces after 60 ft. What is causing this??

I would try more pressure not less! How do you have your rear shocks set?

Car Bounces after 60 ft. What is causing this??

I agree with tightening your rear shocks. Can not understand why you are not getting more front travel. With the front end not coming up you are not getting proper weight transfer causing the rear end to want to unload. JMO

What would it take to carry the front wheels to the 60' beams?

Believe me I like a wheel stand as much as anyone, but feel that it is not the best use of horsepower. It would be more efficient if the car went straight with the wheels on the ground using all the horsepower to lower your et. JMO

What would it take to carry the front wheels to the 60' beams?

There is a guy in my area that runs a VERY fast super stock chev. He redid his rear suspension and put the four link up in the wheel wells so the car would sit lower and launch without doing big wheel stands. At the first race out another buddy of mine was at the starting line and was talking to...

And you are right! When was the last time that you saw a pro stock do a wheel stand?
  25. 1968dartman

What would it take to carry the front wheels to the 60' beams?

Although it looks really cool, you are better off having the car go down the track with the front wheels on the ground. It takes horsepower to get the front end in the air- horsepower that could be used to lower your et. Now let the hating begin!! JMO

    The truth about caltracs

The problem as I see it is that some people put a new rear suspension in their car and think that the car will magically go faster. The rear suspension is just one piece of the puzzle. Also, once you change your rear suspension you could very possibly need to retune your front suspension for...

    Pro stock

Yah I know, but if they add weight to a car to make the rest competitive how is that a competition? I think that what ever combination is quicker should be the benchmark that the rest are shooting for, but what do I know.
