I opted for the Comp Cams XE275HL and Hughes rockers...the Edelbrock heads blew the budget for me. I just fired the engine up yesterday for break-in...and it sounded good. There are so many great options for cams out there...it's tough to make a decision. Paul

Edelbrock doesn't even like their own open chamber heads. They used their 60779 heads on a 340 and took .035 off the pistons with their Power Package according to a Mopar Muscle article I read. Paul

I would go with a 2800-3200 stall converter, 3.91 gears...keep the 670 carb and switch to a dual-plane manifold Performer RPM (or Air Gap). Paul

Currently my engine is out...but here is what I had last summer. Same engine...2 different carbs...2 different air cleaners... I am changing over to aluminum heads and fabricated valve covers...so changes are coming.

I had them in a 383, and they worked great...good low end vacuum and throttle response. Mine weren't noisey, they just made a "ticking" sound, a number of people thought I had a Hemi in my car...they were surprised when I popped the hood. LOL paul
