How do you get it up?

If all you want is picture, tie down a bunch of ballast in back of trunk. It will slow down your ET but make a pretty picture

Subframe connectors for a driver/cruiser, necessary to weld to floor?

That will work very well. I did that 2 x 2 square tube without weld to floor. I drag race the car w slicks and 408 and no harm to body.

    Horn button on Challenger

I have a 1972 Challenger that I want to work on ignition switch. I have the Service Manuals and watched videos on disassembly, but they don't show getting the horn button off for access to shaft & nut. There are no screws or clips that I can find to get button off. I saw one video that guy...

    Full floater rear end

If the used ones are from NASCAR, you can bet they are not very heavy. They spend millions to knock off a pound. I'll bet brakes are no heavier than stock stuff.

Educate me on clamping leaf springs

On the front of spring, just use 2 flat bars 1/4 x 1.25 w holes drilled for bolts to clamp. On area close to tire wall, I welded the 2 flats together on tire side with bolt on other side to give most clearance for tire. Best to clamp near end of each leaf.

largest rear tire without relocating springs or?

When I was buying slicks for my Duster, I took rigid styrofoam and whittled a wedge shaped piece to strap to my old tires. Made it to approximate width of wanted tire. I rolled it around the wheelwell to check clearance. Gave me some confidence before I spent the coin.

    Any ideas for lifting?

If this is a driver/cruiser car, then a set of rear springs can be found cheaply from someone nearby that has up-graded to super stock springs for drag-racing. You can post a Wanted ad on the Sale Forum for Mechanical Parts section. New springs from JC Whitney or a spring shop.

Help identify please: power or manual gearbox?

People replace power steering boxes for manual for several reasons. I replaced one on my duster to make more room for TTI headers. Also there is the weight savings if you drag race. Manual box is aluminum and much lighter plus no pump. If the car is not a daily driver, you can get by with...

A-Body chassis bracing- stock and aftermarket- what's good?

My 74 Duster has those braces also, who knows how much that helps. The best help is braces across top of engine between shock towers. That was tested on late 60's - 70's NASCAR mopars and definitely worked. I think that I have seen vendor made braces like that advertised.

    Subframe Connector dilemma

Just my .02, but I don't like to cut up floor pan for mostly street car. You can get the same effect with 2X2 or 2X3 rectangular tubing that lays up against bottom of floor pan. Welded to rear subframe and to front subframe. It has worked fine with my 408 Duster that has two years track and...

    Need advice on frame connectors

The 2 x 2 tubing will work good. That's what I used on my Duster. As for car position, I think that either on tires or on stands is OK. Just get high enough to weld and work on it. Just level the frame/rocker panel to keep it straight. If you don't have latches in then have doors shut and...

    8 3/4 help!!!

If you shorten the housing and move spring perches, don't just go to 43" perch spacing. You can get the offset rear hangers and the offset front hanger to get about 1/2" narrower each side. These are all just bolt in mods to get more tire room to springs. Set for A-body P4120077/P4120075.
