Mine was a 1949 Olds "Rocket 88"bought it when I was 16 for $275.

Sure looks like a Dart or Scamp to me, I can't a E-Body in it at all.

I'd like to have mine back now; 1949 Olds coupe. Rocket 88 with a 37 LaSalle transmission and a 4.44 rear. It was quick. :cheers:

My first car, 1949 Oldsmobile 2 door coupe, with a 371 CID, six Holley 94 carbs, Isky cam and a 1937 LaSalle transmission. It was a great car. Sure glad gas was only 20 cents a gallon back in the early 1950s.

When I ordered my 71 the light package was about $15 and included fender mount turn signal lights, truck light, glove box light and ash tray light The disc brakes was about $20 and power brakes $15 more. A couple $100 bought you a lot of extras.

I'd bet that it doesn't handle to good. Those Cummins engine are much heavier then a V8 gas engines.

My 70 was under the rear seat cushion too.

It's not a rumor about the dexcool, it does et up everything. My GM pickup started leaking while under warranty and the dealer fixed it and took out the dexcool.

Looks like a spacer between the fan and the pulley...is it needed? Looks like the fan is well in front of the other pulleys.

Before computers they used paper catalogs and microfiche. The chance of them having a bolt like that isn't very good. Junk yard may be your best bet.

Still looks good...years ago I had a 1980 Civic two door. What a great little car and it got about 45 mpg while doing 70 mph.:cheers:
