Lokar throttle cable with Edelbrock 650

Hard to say for sure without seeing pics of it installed. I had a Lokar cable with an Edelbrock carb before, and was able to get WOT.

You should send it to me so I can put it in my Duster.

    Leak on fuel line

Sounds like you forgot to put something back in when you cleaned it.

fuel sending unit problem/leaking around the seal ring

I had the same problem. I think I just let it leak for a little while (as in a couple weeks), then tried to get it to lock in place again, and got it to lock. I think the fuel might have softened it up enough to compress enough to lock in place.

    Summit knock off Carbs

I have a spacer, but not the HVH. The Air Gap does very well with a 1" spacer, but watch your hood clearance. I forget how much the actual gain is from a spacer, but it's quite a bit considering the cost.

    Summit knock off Carbs

I think most of the "Summit brand" stuff is made by big names and they let Summit put their name on it. The carbs are probably made by Edelbrock and Holley. Their fuel pumps look like they are Holley.

    M1 to Air gap

So when are you going to be on Street Outlaws?

    M1 to Air gap

Really? You mean they don't really take 10 light units and all the other stuff that's out there out on a wide street and race without anyone catching them? In a couple scenes, I've seen the police barricade lights off in the distance, but they are usually pretty careful to keep that edited out.

    M1 to Air gap

I'm eventually going to have to get with you to see how to set up a NOS system. Been contemplating it, but need to get other stuff done first, like a cage, seat, & harness so I can be legal.

    M1 to Air gap

I guess I need to take a detour through Indio one of these days. I've had the M1 laying around for a couple years now, but wanted to get everything dialed in before I started changing things. Being away from home all week makes it hard to get anything done.

    M1 to Air gap

Hmmm, interesting. I have an AG on my Duster right now, and was going to put a single plane M1 on it. If it's going to cause a loss down low, and no gain top end, maybe I won't.

    Fuel cell question

IMO, as long as there's a sump, it's not really needed for a drag car. Seems more for driving in circles. I guess if you have strong launches and bring the tires up high enough, the fuel might slosh to the front when the wheels come down, but I still don't think it would leave the pick-up dry...

    Fuel Cell setup help

You'll also need the straps to hold the cell in. I got a cell for Christmas, but need to get the straps now to hold it in place. If the cell you're getting doesn't come with a sending unit, you'll need one of those, too. The cells that have the sending unit in them usually have the GM sending...

    More accurate gas tank readings

I've done that before when the pump registered that I took a gallon more than my tank held. I got a letter in the mail about a month later telling me that they recieved my complaint and were investigating it. Never heard anything after that, though.

    More accurate gas tank readings

In F/A-18's, and probably most other aircraft, there are several fuel sending probes in each tank. For example, each wing has 3 probes; an inner, middle, and outer. The signals from all three are sent to a Signal Data Computer (or Signal Data Converter, depending on what Lot aircraft) and an...

    Premium Fuel?

Even if you do have to use 91, you will still save a lot of money in the long run. Don't those things go something like 50 miles on electric before they switch over to gas, and then get 45 MPG once it switches to gas? If so, you're still saving A LOT of gas money, even with premium. I have...

    Fuel pressure fluctuation

The pump has a little age on it, but not much. The reg is almost brand new. I was thinking probably the pump, but hoping not. Maybe I'll just replace them both at the same time.

    Fuel pressure fluctuation

I just replaced the sending unit. The sock on the old one had a little bit of crap in it. I guess it could be crap in the tank. It was about 50 degrees today when I was messing with it, so I doubt it's vaporlock.

    Fuel pressure fluctuation

My fuel pressure keeps changing. I set it to 6 psi, then after it runs for a while the pressure drops to about 4. When I adjust it back up 6, it stays until I shut it down and let it cool down. When I start it cold, the pressure is up to about 9. I keep messing with it, but the pressure...

Carb gurus: Dies going down hill. Floats?

Been trying for 3 weeks now to get this engine running right, but having carb issues, I think. The carb is a Proform 750. Took it for a drive today, and first of all, when I first start it, if I let it drop below around 1500 RPM, it dies until it warms up (about 5 min), but the weather is mid...

    Bad Fuel Pump? or....

Agee. This one also happened to me on the Barracuda. Rubber line was dry rotted near the gas tank.

    gas tank vent?

The loop makes sense. I didn't put one, just ran the vent tube so it was up to the top of the tank and it leaked when I filled it.

    Bad Fuel Pump? or....

Have you started with the simple stuff like the fuel filter? Always sucks to start digging into something only to find it was something as simple as that. My Duster just started acting the same way, and my fuel pressure is at 6 PSI (normally 9), so that's the first thing I'm going to check...

    Electric Fuel pump mounting question

I'm running braided fuel lines and installing an electric fuel pump (Carter GP4601HP). Where should I mount the pump? I'm thinking of either outside the frame rail just forward of where the forward spring mounting pad is, or inside the frame rail right where it starts to curve up by the wheel...
