Sounds like you forgot to put something back in when you cleaned it.

I had the same problem. I think I just let it leak for a little while (as in a couple weeks), then tried to get it to lock in place again, and got it to lock. I think the fuel might have softened it up enough to compress enough to lock in place.

I have a spacer, but not the HVH. The Air Gap does very well with a 1" spacer, but watch your hood clearance. I forget how much the actual gain is from a spacer, but it's quite a bit considering the cost.

I think most of the "Summit brand" stuff is made by big names and they let Summit put their name on it. The carbs are probably made by Edelbrock and Holley. Their fuel pumps look like they are Holley.

Really? You mean they don't really take 10 light units and all the other stuff that's out there out on a wide street and race without anyone catching them? In a couple scenes, I've seen the police barricade lights off in the distance, but they are usually pretty careful to keep that edited out.

Hmmm, interesting. I have an AG on my Duster right now, and was going to put a single plane M1 on it. If it's going to cause a loss down low, and no gain top end, maybe I won't.

IMO, as long as there's a sump, it's not really needed for a drag car. Seems more for driving in circles. I guess if you have strong launches and bring the tires up high enough, the fuel might slosh to the front when the wheels come down, but I still don't think it would leave the pick-up dry...

You'll also need the straps to hold the cell in. I got a cell for Christmas, but need to get the straps now to hold it in place. If the cell you're getting doesn't come with a sending unit, you'll need one of those, too. The cells that have the sending unit in them usually have the GM sending...

I've done that before when the pump registered that I took a gallon more than my tank held. I got a letter in the mail about a month later telling me that they recieved my complaint and were investigating it. Never heard anything after that, though.

The pump has a little age on it, but not much. The reg is almost brand new. I was thinking probably the pump, but hoping not. Maybe I'll just replace them both at the same time.

I just replaced the sending unit. The sock on the old one had a little bit of crap in it. I guess it could be crap in the tank. It was about 50 degrees today when I was messing with it, so I doubt it's vaporlock.

Agee. This one also happened to me on the Barracuda. Rubber line was dry rotted near the gas tank.

The loop makes sense. I didn't put one, just ran the vent tube so it was up to the top of the tank and it leaked when I filled it.

Have you started with the simple stuff like the fuel filter? Always sucks to start digging into something only to find it was something as simple as that. My Duster just started acting the same way, and my fuel pressure is at 6 PSI (normally 9), so that's the first thing I'm going to check...

I'm running braided fuel lines and installing an electric fuel pump (Carter GP4601HP). Where should I mount the pump? I'm thinking of either outside the frame rail just forward of where the forward spring mounting pad is, or inside the frame rail right where it starts to curve up by the wheel...
