    Upper ball joint 66 dart

    Not sure, will have to check in storage tool box today or tomorrow. I remember someone used a pipe wrench after soaking the ball joiints in wd-40/etc. as a last resort to remove/install.

    Have you tried bouncing the car to see if it rubs? Majority of the time suspension travel would have the arms moving above that lip anyway right? Guess it depends on your front end lift on hard acceleration or slant six bars.

    Is this for column shift only, or think it might work with floor shift cars? The floor shift seal/bearing is pretty weak/flimsy thanks

    If it is just the front bushing and not the rear, just retighten the bolt. (strut rod not torsion bar btw). Maybe it was loose before and caused it to fail?

    Not sure, yet did you keep the left torsion on the left, and right on the right? Sometimes people put them on the wrong side.

    Slant six to v8 torsion question

    Got the slant torsion bars in my 318 powered 65 valiant. I have a spare set of early a 626/627 bars (892/893). Would I notice a ride improvement if I put them in? All the suspension is fairly new and it rides pretty nice, just looking to make it a little stiffer. thx

    Sounds good all, I will double check. Mounts are schumackers and the car is barely driven, yet the bolts could be loose...and the engine DOES move a lot when I rev it with the hood open. Exhaust could be hitting the passenger transmission side, is all I can guess- If i accelerate really slowly...

    When accelerating from a stop, I hear this grumbling noise coming from the front of the car/firewall area. Leaf springs in the rear are new (5 leafs), edelbrock shocks around, all bushings are new..only thing old on the car are the slant six torsion bars even though I have a v8 in there now...

    One more sway bar end link question-How much torque?

    Mine were tight but the bushings could swivel if i turn them with my fingers Im getting an odd noise from the driver side suspension (like a soft knock) and all other bushings look fine in that area

    I see sway bar link bushing kits, but what is the difference between heavy duty and standard? (rockauto for reference) Are the heavy duty bushings firmer providing less "give" when you push the car? I have an addco on the front of my 65 and want to replace the stock sway bar links/bushings...

    Upper control arm ball joint seal? Where to get? Mine has a small tear in it and im not happy as these parts are fairly new! A new upper balljoint runs about 40 dollars so I would rather just replace the seal/dust boot...anyone know where to get one? Thanks
