Hey Val is that your 67 GTS?

Yes these 67 Darts had a few one year only items on them. Is a big pain to replace them! But no one said LOVE is easy! :banghead:

I have AMD full panels on my 67 only 2 years old. Way better than a patch job.

The 67 windshield lockstrip was a one year deal, because it was so bad. I found a NOS set for my 67 two years ago, but in reality they are a garbage trim. May look nice, but more problems in the end like shrinkage and cracking.

They are tight, but the screw holes do not line up, and they do not fit evenly to the grill. Also I had to play with the headlights a bit, so that they looked balanced in the holes. From a distance you would not notice a thing, close up it bugs the hell out of me, but no one would notice.

Hey Edd the 67 buckets were different from the other years. My FG fenders are 68 fenders, and the bezels do not fit perfect on the car, that is one of the reasons I am hunting for 67 fenders myself. Mark

I have to agree Edd. In this day and age it is nice to see the old chrome bumpers, when everyhthing else is plastic. When you have the $$$ get them rechromed it is worth it. In tme mean time enjoy the great hard work you are doing!

Looks good and solid Edd congrats! Just make sure it is not full of bondo (packed), but I seriously doubt it from the way it looks. It will be a little tricky with the 67 headlight bezels, but nothing too crazy.

Try and sell them and maybe get some cash for your rebuild. Can't hurt to try for a few bucks anyway. Heck maybe you will get enough for some refreshments while you are working on the Dart.8)

Hey Vic now I know I am only a Dart guy, but looking in my Mopar Muscle book, I only see an emblem on the trunks lids that are flat. There is a pic of a 67 with a with the crease down the middle, and it does not have an emblem. Just the Cuda under the name on the trunk panel. P.S. Ok gyus got...

Because the Dart is not an E body. Man you can find almost anything for an E body, but for an A body like a Dart it becomes difficult. Front fenders forget about it, all you can get is a patch. I was lucky enough to come across Fiberglass fenders orginally for a 68 Hemi with all the correct...

The one I just bought I tried the battery test and nothing so I was a little concerned, but when I plugged it in it did work. You may want to test it that way, but chances are the bulb is dead but you never know! When I get my hands on some bulbs I will let you know.

Hard part now is finding the bulbs! Should have grabbed a box off Ebay that was for sale a few weeks ago. I have a few leads, a fellow mopar member is supposed to bring me one to the show today.

Thanks for taking the time to pull that light to show me bud, I appreciate it. Yours is still in good shape. Mine is not too bad, but the bottom of the light was gone, basically dust from corrosion. Now I need to locate some bulbs and see if the set up still works.

That spot looks way better then it did. The Red blended really nice and the polish cleans it up nice! Looking forward to seeing it Thursday if the rain stays away. Maybe we should do the Pony on Sunday as well Dave!

If its gonna be a race car then delete the trim, if you plan to use it as a cruiser than persoanlly I would keep the trim. The 67 GT trim when polished up really adds some nice character to the car. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks bud, but I got it apart. Soaked the damn thing in vinegar and it finally came out. It is a bulb inside the bullet type casing, My bulb basically disintegrated at the base, the light itself still seems fine with the wires inside, but the inside of the base was corroded, I guess 43 years...

It is taking it apart that is the hard part. It is a weird set up that looks like it can break if pulled on too hard. It does not work at all, because the one I replaced it with works fine. I need to see if there is a bulb that needs to be replaced or if it is a wire. I am looking to see if...
