    Carlisle rant!

Tell him to screw off, I wouldn't take that crap from him.

    Gas prices down

Up to $3.79 at the gas station I usually go to but the one off the main drag is still at $3.47

    Gas prices down

Big surprise! gas is up to $3.65 a gallon and ironically there was a report that gasoline is at an all time low for Illinois, thanks in part to a $0.40 drop in price per gallon. YES because when gas goes from $3.47 to $3.65 that is a significant drop in price.

    Gas prices down

You mean E10 right? (90% gasoline 10% corn ethanol)

    Gas prices down

Rhetorical comment, I know that's what it's all about. Obama thinks he can make us forget about the new "tax" by helping gas prices down, sadly many will fall for this cheap trick.

    Gas prices down

$3.47, yesterday $3.49 then the day before $3.57 and before that $3.59 something is screwy:-k

    ignorant people rant

Oh not a small thing, I'd be pissed too! We had the right parking lamp on our van busted out overnight while it was in the driveway. Then whoever did it (may they burn in hell for it) cleaned up the broken plastic. There's idiots everywhere, and no one is to be trusted THAT well.

    What's the deal with champion?

On one I had to, I got all but one with the screw on type. The 6th one had a different style. The car seems to have woken up a bit with the washers removed. Also I found oil inside the spark plug tube with the washers installed....that's another reason not to use them.

    What's the deal with champion?

After I wax the Dart I'm going to cut the washers off my plugs.

    What's the deal with champion?

With a carb they gotta be changed every 12,000 miles, what is the point in paying for an expensive bogus spark plug like E3 or the such? Champions do suck, but they're better than the "crap". Maybe I need some NOS Chrysler brand plugs:D

    What's the deal with champion?

I live in Gurnee, IL - the town just east of us that is on Lake Michigan is called Waukegan. Waukegan was a town that had its glory days in 1958. Walk-town as the "caucasian" locals sometime refer to it as is like a slice of Mexico here in 2012. It's been that way for 25-30 years now. Any...

    What's the deal with champion?

Yeah, I'll agree there, any Champion in any of our cars just plain suck. They seem to make the engine lose power after about a week.:banghead: Another tid bit is, if so desired you could put E3s in a lawn mower lmao

    What's the deal with champion?

Well no more E3s lol. I got Autolites because that's the only one they had enough of in stock for me to change the plugs today. The Autolites are OK but the dumb thing is that the tip comes off and has threads :P I will remove the washers in the morning. Autolites are American made... or...

    What's the deal with champion?

IMHO more so with a carbureted engine because it's recommened that they're changed every 12,000 miles or year (whichever comes first). I've found they actually worsen gas mileage on a fuel injected car. Will probably go back to Champions on everything, plus Champion is made in the USA

    What's the deal with champion?

I went to the local Advance Auto Parts for some plugs. I was thinking I could try some E3s or Champions. I asked the lady at the counter if she had any plugs for a 1970 Dart "3.7" so I get a list, go through it and so on and so forth I say how about the Champions? and She tells me we don't...

    Service Technicians vs. Auto Mechanics

Wow all this is interesting. At the Auto shop I went to in high school the teacher I had told me the exact opposite. A Technician is someone who is trained correctly, and a mechanic is someone who is an uneducated tinkerer. I found that to be a great insult. I do prefer it because I get...

    Why?

I'm kinda thankful they don't like musclecars or they'd try to stick FAKE scoops and ventaports to them. They would think those make them equal to cars with functional examples.:burnout:

    Why?

    I saw a Toyota Celica GT RS 400 with Buick venta-ports :D

    slant 6 help needed

Service your oil pressure relief valve under the oil filter, I've had this burned into my eyes reading threads all the time about slant threads, not to mention it was pounded into my brain by many members here.

    Whats your other car?

I almost bought a 1971 Olds Cutlass for $8800, had a Rocket 350 with hardened valve seats, I liked it until I found out it went 0-60 in 11 seconds.
