So are they 1 5/8 or 1 1/4? This plug is on passenger side farthest back.

Had a freeze plug blow out of the passenger side rear block.. Engine is a 70.... 318.... Went to the parts store and they can't tell me what size the freeze plug are? Are they 1 5/8"? Anyone have a part number to pick one up at autozone...

I need the correct engine brackets and mounts to fit a 340 in a 1970 duster that had a 318.... I need the metal brackets and rubber part... Where can I get them?!? I need them soon...my motor is in the car with a cherry picker holding it up.

Ya my 340 came with these brackets but it was in a challenger.... So I prolly have the wrong brackets.... Do they make aftermarket ones or reproduce ones for cheap? Like $50-$85?

trying to install a 340 in a 1970 duster... nothing is lining up.... my tranny is to close to driver side... the tranny crossmember will not bolt up... has to go back like 3-4".... drivers side biscuit mount doesnt look right... i will post up pics of my engine brackets and mounts...

Ya I guess the 340 is a early 70. Ya I thought I got great finds he also had a 11 second 340 he was willing to sell me for $1200 but it was high compression (12.5) so no pump gas. and had no intake..... I'll post pics tonight for sure...

Well I'm new to mopars... And only 21.. I bought a 70 duster with no engine or tranny... I located a running 340 for $900 (yes only $900 running carb to pan it's a 69 out of a challenger) I then found a working 904 for $50... With convertor... Then dropped her in last weekend... Hope to get her...

Nope not a lock up... N ya I'm trying to keep it as low cost as possible... So I'm gonna keep the torker... Untill I get more money to switch... But it's a 8 1/4 rear.. So that's weird... Lol I know he put it in there.. No idea why...

What's it take to run mid 13... In a 340 1970 duster? Just curious... I known have a 69 340 with torker intake n purple cam... Headers... That's about all lol... Using a 904 with a 2200 stall convertor... N have a 3.40 gear it seems when I spin tire and watch driveshaft...

Damn... I junped head first in... I did semi glosss black with the paint sanded off the fins... And painted the intake engine color....

I just picked up a running 69 340 for cheap... It has a torker intake and a set of aluminum m/t valve covers... They are really really dirty even after bead blasting them.... So what should I do? Paint the valve covers and intake red or maybe intake red n covers black? I'm stuck haha.

So I can get a good running 340. What should I look for to tell if it's really a 1969 340? Also it's going in a 1970 duster and want it to run mid 12 second and still be streeible how hard is that? I was thinking 3.55 gears 727 with 2000 stall and the 340 has a cam and intake and headers but...
