    Sounds like a heat crossover. A lot of aftermarket intakes dont have it and seeing as how you live in Florida I wouldnt bother. I filled the holes on my heads with high temp black silicone to plug them up cause my Performer didnt use them either.

    I used the lokar kickdown, 24" universal throttle cable, and had to buy the bracket for it to all work together. I think the bracket part was LKR4000? It was really easy to install and set up.

    How wide is the seam running down the middle? Cast cranks will have a larger seam while forged will be narrower. Can you post a pic for us?

    Is the radiator cap new? What % of the fan is inside the shroud? Are you sure the fan is pulling air and not pushing (wrong fan)? Sure does seem odd. I guess it could be running lean too but I am not a carb guy!

    I bought the four wheel stand from Summit about 15 years ago and it has had a 440, 302 (I know, it was a weak time in my life but I was going to tuff it into my 4 cyl Ranger), 360, and now my 383. It has held up fine but I make sure to use grade 8 hardware to attach it to the stand.

    You're putting LA heads on a magnum block? I think I am a little confused. What is the setup? Cam, pushrod length, rockers, etc.?

    The KB's in my 383 didnt have anything on the top. The part number was between the pin and the skirt. "162"

    Thats gonna be a roller cam engine. cam, lifters, pushrods all different. Not sure about springs and such.
