Anyone? seen a nice template and stuff on e-bay but the guy isn't interested in selling to Canada, thought maybe someone had a used template or somthing.

It's an original console with a Hust Pro-matic in it, but the cable shift has never been that amazing so putting a modded factory shifter with a Duncan shift gate in it. Sort of like a slap stick but supposed to be better.

My bad, 71 340 Duster. I have the console mounted with an aftermarket shifter but not loving the cable shift am going to install a factory set up with a Duncan Motor Sports shift plate. Just need to find out if it's all in the right place. New mounts would be nice but I'll see about...

Does anyone have some detailed pictures and measurements for installing a console in a 71 Duster with a 727? I am installing a factory type shifter and need the correct measurements to line things up.

intergalactica I had mine done in British Colombia by a place called Woods Radios, there are a few places that do it though it was just the closest to me. I paid $380 if I remember correctly. It sounds great and looks stock short of extra speaker wires and a port for an iPod etc. on the back.

I know you ruled it out but the radio conversion is great, I had mine done and its worth every penny. Digital AM/FM and an Ipod hook up. Slides back into the factory hole the original presets still work and 50w/4 channels or the option to run 6 channels.

PPG has nothing that will crossover and yearone sells an actual interior paint but won't ship anything other then UPS which will more then doule the cost at the border not that it matters because the order guy said that they won't ship paint out of the U.S I e-mailed there tech support to see...

So far I'm screwed as the codes I'm told are too old and use a paint that is no longer made. Need to get ahold of PPG and see where that goes

Looks like I'd only need the low gloss? The high gloss seems to be all the body emtal thats exposed in the car.

Can't seem to fine a post so I'll ask, when installing rallye mirrors in a 71' Duster that never had them where do you make the hole for the adjustment knob on the driver's side?

a B-5 Blue interior as far as Legendary etc is concerned would be light blue or dark blue? No colour chips so I assume light.

Wish I had access to a welder to do that, was going to use riv-studs but can't find any. I cut the parcel tray and dropped the speakers in from the top. It looks ok but the speakers I have are alpines and free but the rings are a bit scratched up. Doesn't look horrible but not great...

Puttign speakers in the rear of my Duster which only has the cutout for the rear defog and no speaker cutouts. Rather then splice holes in the tray I thought about ordering one with speaker holes. Is it worth to money to hide the speakers or not?

The kick panels everyone is talking about are made by custom autosound. I have a set on order and for canadian guys there are Candian distributors for these things so you can save a few bucks in shipping.

Check out radio conversions, this winter for about the price of a good headunit I am having my stock am radio gutted and turned into a digital am/fm unit with ipod and or cd changer hookups on it. 45wx4 channels and looks like a stock radio fits the stock hole.

I have a set of their arm rest bases with no issues and just ordered a set of Hood scoops which I'll let you know when they show up. I talked to Chad on the phone and he seemed like a decent guy

I'll check with the body shop first, as year one only ships UPS which is stupid expensive in their brokerage fees for border crossing. You can take the UPS freight charge double it and thats the bill they give you.

My Rallye cluster will soon be back from the chrome platers and I have good am radio I want to fill the hole with for a stock look -Untill I hide a cd player- I only have the radio in 71' Rallye cluster what brackets/nuts for the knob etc are needed?

I sorta got the same idea but it was from TV... I watched them build a hemi Dart on Wrecks to Ritches and they put in a Secret audio with a fancy face plat e to fit the radio hole in the dash with a Changer in the trunk... looked slick and no hacking required... I price dit out the secret...
