Ive got a blown head gasket. I Pulled the valve cover and 5he underside was like sludge. Like green snot. I can only assume the entireally engine is like this. How can I flush it out after repair?

Well It was tight but it wasnt right. Still dripping i have to say what a cobbled way to to that! Why not do like the rest do and have it seat against the block. Gaskets ordered. Got any idea on a torque spec?

I did tighten it up but it took a 1" socket to do. I didnt torque it as I didnt know what it was called but I gave it a good snug then another 1/4-1/2 turn

Gas is new. i doubt Its the carbs getting hot since there a good foot away from the motor. but It could be fuel line getting warm i bet it would have the same effect

Well this one is coming out of Minnesota. As clean as it is for a 97 it is a good indicator the PO took care of it. Very little rust and interior clean.

This a driver or project? If driver dont do anything till you have all the supplies and needed coatings. Makes it easier when you have the stuff on hand also doesnt leave the metal unfinished. You tube is great for this you get the basic ideas.
