    Dart ID help

Apparently, the current owner did some internet research, and has decided that this car has value. He has stated that the car is now not for sale. I really have no idea if this car is special or not, I've not gotten a look at it yet. Hopefully, he will change his mind, but until...

    Dart ID help

I don't know. All I have is 3rd hand information that goes something like this: "It has bad paint, but the body is solid. It only has 50,000 miles on it and is a factory race car. Don't know if it's a big block or small block, but it has dual quads on it. Also, has bench seat with auto on...

    Dart ID help

Going to be looking at a Dart. There is an outside chance that it may be a factory hemi Dart, or maybe a factory big block Dart. (I know, it's probably a slant six car, but you never know til you look.) I don't know what to look for on the car to see if it is any of the above. Can someone give...

    Fuel economy help

Best I could get in my Duster with a slant six and three on the tree was 17. But I had to be real nice to it to do that. Back in the day I had a 73 Coronet Custom 4door with 318, 2barrel auto that got 20 mpg all day long. I'm a believer in 318 cars for drivability with good gas mileage.

    Pt105

We haven't decided what we want to do to it yet. Have any suggestions?Choppin the top is an option of course, but what drive train would you guys use? Should it be stock, or maybe small block for easy drivin, or crazy big block for going waaaaaay to quick in traffic? We have a lot of options...

    Pt105

Here are some pics of the 1940 Plymouth PT105 that my brother (Hadahemi) and I bought recently. It runs good and is drivable. There are a lot of dings in it, but for being 69 years old it is a pretty solid truck. :toothy7: So tell us what you think, not bad huh?

For anyone who has used Schumacher Kits... Questions?!?!

Go ahead and put your engine in. Make sure the trans is mounted also, so that you can tell if everything is lined up right. If you have to hog a hole out a little bit, that's ok. Remember that these cars were not built perfect in the first place. I haven't used Shumachers small block mounts...

    1.98 Rear End?

If it's not a sure grip, it doesn't work like that. When you turn one tire, if the other tire is motionless or turning the opposite direction or turning the same direction at a different speed, then counting the revolutions at the yoke will not give you an accurate gear ratio.

    1.98 Rear End?

Never heard of a 1.98 before. Should get great gas mileage on the highway!

If you use a primer on block, how long should it dry before painting?

I had never used high temp primer until about a year ago. It is available at parts stores (I think I got mine at Autozone). It made for a good looking paint job on a 413 that I have. (Hemi Orange top coat) Unfortunately, the 413 is just sitting on a stand, so I won't know how well the paint job...

    goodyear 2 ply tire

The last of the parts came off the Scamp today (poor little thing is headed for the big garage in the sky:sad10:) and noticed that the spare is an old polyglas tire from goodyear. It's scuffed up on one side, but still has a lot of tread on it. I remember someone was looking for one, but don't...

    Your First Car??

My first car was a 49 Chevy pickup truck. Went halves with my brother on it. I was think I was 14 at the time. My first Mopar was a 73 Coronet Custom 4door. Dark green metallic with white vinyl top and green interior. 318 2 barrel automatic. Man did I use that car hard! I was 16 when I got that...

    The search has begun !!!

That's cool. I have an old 413 in my garage that was going to go in my 74 Duster. Now the 440 is going to go in the Duster, and I'm going to look for something more appropriate for the 413. Sounds like you found the car that my 413 needs! Any pics yet?

Strangest thing found in your A body???

A mouse had gotten into the radiator of a 73 Duster. I picked out piles of wet globs of fiberglass insulation and the shells from about 20 walnuts. My mom had a car one time (non-Mopar) that all of a sudden started making a terrible racket everytime you turned on the blower motor. Turns out...

Questions for those who sell/have sold cars on ebay ...

I sold three cars on ebay. In each case I got a paypal deposit right away. (That way you know your not going to wait days or weeks for a deadbeat.) And then got cash for the balance when they picked the vehicles up. I also had a guy once who claimed he was sending cash with his transporter, so...
