Hi folks. i am picking up a 72 4 door carts car> has a really nice floor and trunk. Anyway the trunkpan and inner 1/4's will work on a 74 2 door? Inner Wheel wells?
I had a old chevy 4x4 I did it to.... inside and out!
Pros.... never rusted, resisted dents, excellent when I went in deep water
Cons..... Heavy, ugly, not comfortable to lean on,
Has anyone mounted hi beam lights behind their grill? Maybe mounted on the rad support.
Anyone got pics?
I have a set of hi intensity 6054's lying around and I was thinking that if I hid them behind the grill they would greatly help over the old school yellowish beams
The plan now is to sand it down, put long strand filler then short strand. Prime seal paint install and enjoy. Am I missing any steps? I never really done this.
Yeah I cut down already for the center of the hood and it still seems to lift on the outside. I will try to sand it down some more on the inner edge. After that it should be scuffed up enough to get some matting in there. Then filler.
Should I go with a short strand filler or long strand for...
another issue I see is that the outside edges of the scoop seem to flare up a bit. I plan on putting fibreglass matting and resin down. Should I just put some under the raised part and then it should be fine when it gets sanded down?
Sorry, don't know bodywork that well
I guess the best answer would be, did it come with a stripe? if so what colour? How well do you know the history of the car?
It would always bug me if I never really knew the truth
Cutting the hole, measuring and prepping this weekend. I'm thinking that I am going to cut out the entire triangle area similar to where you cut yours.
Hey folks,
I am going to be putting a matte black hood on my 74 swinger.
My question is, should I paint the nose as well or leave it body colour(beige)??
Anyone have pics of a 73-76 with a matte/flat black hood?
