Married guys - car budgets and honesty

Pretty much agree with what you said. I was medically retired in 2014 from military service. One day last July my wife in the morning before leaving for work says I'm having the home phone turned off because we have cell phones and the satellite package changed to the basic package since we...

Married guys - car budgets and honesty

My wife of 33 years blasts me from time to time, but yet has no problem taking 6 to 7 k gambling like she did 3 years ago, because she needs to just get away and take a break. separate accounts, I pay my share of the household bills every month plus my own. She has her own account and I have...

I never thought I'd say this, but it's time to sell

Bottom line is it's your car and you know what is your priorities. I myself sold a pretty solid roadrunner several years ago that I put back together, enjoyed it a few years and it was a very trustworthy car, very comfortable cruiser/highway car. Sold it to get what I wanted that I still have to...

    Windshield Replacement

About 6 years ago Safelite installed a new windshield in my dart sport, did a great job and very pleased. This was a replacement tinted glass. I was surprised as they had it in stock. took the tech maybe an hr. with no issues, highly professional.

    Legend in his own mind

The sad part is there are guys/gals out there that believe them. I used to work with a guy everyday that spewed crap, and would tell a lie on top of a lie. Nice guy otherwise, but man could he sling it. Back in my younger days this same co worker kept telling me just how bad his bigblock 454 was...

    Legend in his own mind

Yes, if I would've had the time I could've throwed him under the bus, but past experience with guys like him just emboldens them to press on. Don't know if he was coming on to me or not. At 52 I guess I still have it ha,ha, Not my type, I don't swing on that side of the fence. :burnout:

    Legend in his own mind

Don't know if he dazzling me with his BS or waiting to see what I had to one up him. I just wanted to get gear oil and get the H out of there, but I get my oil plus entertainment to. If I had the time to challenge him I would've. Been in the car hobby for many years, had street cars, drag cars...

    Legend in his own mind

So, I install my rebuilt center section yesterday, and today I take off to the local AZ , just to pick up some gear oil. Should've known better but all I get there once in a great while is fluids. I pick up 3 qrts. of gear oil and a manager proceeds to tell me about his 572 cubic inch motor that...

    Mopar Nats or Carlisle?

I live about 35 mins. from Carlisle. I believe the OP said the Nationals or Fall Carlisle. If looking for strictly Mopar parts, definitely the Chrysler Nationals in July. The spring and Fall shows are mostly other brands with maybe a half dozen or so used parts vendors for Mopar stuff, not worth...

    Another crackhead price

Good points as well. I live not far from Carlisle and have kind of easy access to all the events. I would say that a good guess for me is to have a car 75% or more complete. Trying to chase down some parts that are missing or no longer serviceable can and will add up along with the frustration...

    Another crackhead price

Thing is it may be a decent or fair price for someone, but when you are into it and looking and spending money on a lot of missed parts or damaged parts, it can add up real quick. I went with a friend of mine a few years ago to look at a 69 roadrunner for 7 k. He asked me to go along for my...

70 Duster Drip Rail Trim Question

Sorry to hijack this post, but my dart sport has wheel molding but no drip rail molding, at least when I bought it. So if I have wheel molding should my car have the drip rail molding to ? Would it be part of a décor group or package? Car in question 75 sport 360.

    Mason Dixon Dragway

Just talked with a guy in Monrovia Md. yesterday about 75/80. He said it was an outlaw track since the original owner sold it a few years ago. He said it was really screwed up as far as track operation, low car counts and not organized, He said he didn;t think that track had much of a future, do...

    360 dart sport owners

I believe they are supposed to be next to the dart emblem but not below it as the sport emblem is there and to the right. The pics I was able to locate are all at a distance but you can tell it's next to the dart but I don't know the distance. My car is a numbers matching car but the 360 were...

    360 dart sport owners

Anyone here tell me where and an exact measurement would be to install my 360 emblems on the front fenders of 75 sport? Found some pics. but they are all from a distance. Looks like they are in line with the dart emblem but I don't know the distance. Found the location for the duster 360 but not...

to build or not to build

Amazing what some of these women do to a relationship. My wife is supportive but with the recent loss of my son, I'm thinking of just being patient and waiting it out some more. Agree I don't want to move my cars and later on find out that mistakes were made. I still do have the passion and I...

to build or not to build

Darter 6 Thanks, some good points. I'm 50 now and have grandkids and one surviving child. I 've been into motorcycles the last 3 or so years, with gas prices, food, and just the monthly expenses just to live comfortably is quite disenchanting. Even having my street car and wanting to enjoy it...

to build or not to build

Well my 73 swinger is going on 3 years now with no motor or trans, just a roller. I sold the motor and trans. back in early 09 to help keep my business going and to help out a friend needing a drivetrain for his roadrunner. Lost the business in late 09 and the car been sitting in the trailer...
