SWEET! That's almost the exact same idea I had for a paint scheme for my future duster. Only difference is I wouldn't have solid lines, but a fade two tone that starts on the 2nd body line from the one you used (middle) and go with matte black hood, dark navy bottom light navy top :D love it.

I'm not far from you, Missoula Montana. Bout 3-4 hr drive. I had the same plan you did --70s era duster and slap on a dart front-end. If you absolutely want to pull off the clone look you'll need sheet metal of a demon for the lights which isn't hard at all given there's repro metal for that.

this is why I generally dislike buying used parts. Lots of honest folks out there, some people dont even know the condition of the inside of the engine..... then theres folks who know the engine is toast and fleece ya for a buck and half. With my next car I'm going to just buy a solid block...

There's a guy on here who welds em up and sells em pretty fair, don't remember his name. Sub-frame connectors are pretty much the first step people take prior power adders. I'd suggest you stick with the bolt in ones unless you got welding skills. You can bore out the 318, put worked X or J...

Bore out the 318 -- if you got deep pockets get a crate 340/360 -- you didnt say whether it was clutch or auto. There's a lot of factors at play. What you're doing is being too general and broad. Nearly any engine can get 12s its a matter of parts and money. Strip cars aren't very streetable...
