Sleeper car , what wheels !!! pics**

If I wanted a "sleeper" look, I would go with steel wheels and "dog-dish" caps. But that hood scoop kind of lets everyone know there is more than an OE engine under the hood!

Anyone running 225 70r14 on the rear? Let me see

Our, (father/son project) 1974 Dart Swinger has 205's on the front and 225's on the rear. I have a 4-door Dart that has 235/60-15's on the rear, but the 225's look better. First we had them mounted on MOPAR ralleye's but we went with Cragar S/S's that we found on E-Bay, $305 for the set and they...

    14 inch tire help wanted....

I found these 23 year old Cragar S/S rims in a friends barn and he gave them to me to free up space. I washed them up and polished them and you can see the before and after pics. I plan to use them on my 1972 D100 1/2 ton pickup. A problem I am finding is that not many tire companies make 14inch...

Dog Dish hub caps fit 14 AND 15 in rims?

My goodness, I LOVE those cop rims and caps!!! Those would make the car look "tough" alright. Maybe I'll get lucky and find some but for right now I'd be happy with a simple set of "red-line"caps line you have on your car. And I have to say, your car is awesome looking!

Dog Dish hub caps fit 14 AND 15 in rims?

I guess I'll head to the nearest salvage yard and see what I can dig up then. Doe anyone run correct period "Dog-Dishes" that can share a picture so I know what to look for?

Dog Dish hub caps fit 14 AND 15 in rims?

I'm wanting to transform a 1973, four door Dart Custom into a police car clone, and I'm wondering if your typical "Dog Dish" hub caps will fit both 14 and 15 inch wheels?

Off-set for Cragars on 1974 Dart.

I believe we will keep the current height due to my sons lack of driving experience. However we do plan to replace all the front suspension goodies since they are all dry-rotted / sagging. Does anyone know of a good all-inclusive kit that will re-build the whole front end at a decent price...

Off-set for Cragars on 1974 Dart.

Yeah the Cragars do make a huge difference! I believe we will put the car in a car show in two weeks. Probably in an "under Construction" class or something comparable. Hard to believe that its only been 7 months since we picked up the car for $1,000 from the original owner here in central Texas...

Off-set for Cragars on 1974 Dart.

No one ever responded to this question so I went on a blind purchase off of E-Bay. We got an immaculate set of 14X7 for $305 and as you all can see, they really set the car off nicely. Below is what we posted under the "Restorations" section of this site. If anyone has questions about off-set...

I want to put 14X6 with 3.375 backspace on the front and 14X7 with 4.125 backspace on the rear. My bolt pattern is the 5X4.5, on my sons 74 Dart Swinger. I was about to post these demensions and ask everyone if they thought they would fit before I go and purchase them .

Off-set for Cragars on 1974 Dart.

We're thinking of getting Cragar S/S rims for our 74 Dart Swinger. The car has the 14 inch ralleye's, 5X4.5 BP. We want to run 14X6 on the front and 14X7 on the rear. What off-set would I need and is it the same front and rear?

    225/70-14 Anyone?

My sons 74 Dart Swinger had junk 195's all the way around when we bought it. We went with 205's up front and 225's out back. If I was going with one size all the way around, I would go with 215's. Here are some pictures for comparison.

Tire suggestions for '74 Dart Swinger

Rims are stock 14 inch, 5 on 4.5 pattern on a 1974 Dart Swinger. Replaced junk rubber with 205 X 70-14 on the front and 225 X 70-14 on the rear. Could have gone bigger on the rear but wasn't sure at the time. Car will be a daily driver once my son turns 16.

Help with tire selection on cuda

My son and I went with BFG TA Radials, 205-70X14 on the front and 225-70X14 on the rear. We contemplated Firestone 500's, but went with the TA's because they look more muscle car era to us. I went with a size difference front to rear to add to the stance of the car along with the air shocks...
