Talking to a buddy just now and he mentioned the same thing. He said he has had issues when installing a modern column in old cars trucks. The column is set up for a 3 wire and the cars trucks are not.

Thank you. Id bet thats why the flasher keeps blowing the circuit breaker in the power probe. (Not enough load.) I have some old bulbs and sockets. I will wire them up and test the flashers.

I had a jumper wire from the hot terminal on my battery for YEARS... ( 71 dart) Open the hood, touch the wire on the rely and go... Ha,ha.. never did fix it tho so no help here.. I just ripped all the wire out and built a race car with a licence plate... No more jumper wire tho!!! :rofl:

If you don't switch the alt hot wire the switch dont do jack. You gotta break the hot wire on the alt to shut off the engine.
