Dash turn signal and oil pressure light flicker

Thanks, how would these apply or effect when it occurs with engine off or running. Additionally, wouldn't more than just turn signal indicator lights and oil pressure idiot light.

Dash turn signal and oil pressure light flicker

I took the column completely out of the equation and jumped the horn switch post at the relay and got the same result. I disconnected both harnesses at the base of the steering column before jumping. I will add another ground to the dash cluster to see what we happens.

Dash turn signal and oil pressure light flicker

I know, this scenario has been difficult to isolate. I'm about to just put it back together and run it. I've been studying the schematic and wondering if there could be some back feed to the dash cluster through the light switch since it appears to be powered from the same fuse port. None of...

Dash turn signal and oil pressure light flicker

Replaced old steering wheel and still had the issue, never noticed it before. disconnected the steering column wiring harnesses and jumped the horn wire leading to horn relay and had same issue. To me this would indicate that nothing in the column is causing the problem. Replaced the horn relay...

Dash turn signal and oil pressure light flicker

I don't thank so. I'm going to put the original wheel back on to see if the problem continues.

Dash turn signal and oil pressure light flicker

Not sure what you mean. The column has a contact point that touches a brass ring on the steering wheel adapter. The adapter has a wire that goes to the horn button.

Dash turn signal and oil pressure light flicker

Removed just the steering wheel and horn. Didn't touch the column or any wiring except for the horn.

    Fusible link trouble

Thanks Mattax, In example 2 from your link it shows internal short at alternator, would the vehicle have to be running for that to cause the fusible link to burn? Is there a simple way to check the field terminals to the main power out or alternator body to determine if it is internally shorted...

    Fusible link trouble

Hello All, Did some more tracing and have come up with the following. Remember I found continuity from the black lead off the ammeter to ground. I have the service manual and started tracing the harness. I've found that block 7 & 8 in the fuse block seem to be troublesome. First block 8 and the...

    Fusible link trouble

Hello All, While replacing the ammeter I decided to clean everything up in the instrument cluster. After I reassembled the cluster I did some continuity checks on the cluster body and cluster board had continuity to the cluster body. Removed a couple of cluster lights and continuity gone...

    Fusible link trouble

A couple weeks ago I had the 1974 Duster out to a cruise-in. On the trip home I lost all electrical power. I made a quick check of all the connectors back to the bulk head and everything seemed in order. Didn’t have the tools to dig further so I called a tow truck. Once home I started some...

Thanks 67Dart273, what happens if you cut the light blue out? If you eliminate the ICU how would you or what would you link the light blue to? Again, thanks. v/r Ron

    HEI Conversion wiring question

Thanks for the responses, so, I will not have to run a lead to the coil because the brn already goes to the coil, just splice the brn and dk blue? What about the ground if I eliminate the icu?

    HEI Conversion wiring question

My 74 service manual schematic shows the brn wire going to the (+) coil, guess that where I get confused, thanks.

Hello All, I know, not another hei tread, I could not gain a clear picture from some of the post I found. Working on a 74 Duster and trying to set up a ready-to-run hei distributor. I was getting ready to splice the brown and dk blue wire at the resistor and started to get confused. Once I...

Do I need relays with these headlight choices.

Hello All, I've been looking at affordable options to replace my headlights and was thinking about these two options, PHILIPS H6024CV or WAGNER H6024BL.
