Don't need them for ride height. Used just like air-shocks with out the air. Just looking for mounting options. The original mount hardware was replaced before I purchased car.

67Dart273, I did double check but I'm pretty sure that mine only goes in 1 way based on the splines lining up. There is a groove that is wider on the steering box shaft and the coupler and if they are not lined up it won't go together.

Hello All, As it turns out, the little retainer clamp was the ticket!!! Like my Dad would say "It was the cats meow". Glad I double checked because I needed the 3.5 inch one.

Thanks davescuda, I tried that with one clamp because I had just broke the other on something else and I wasn't patient enough to wait until I got another one. I was a little worried about the clamps flying off and banging up the paint.

OK guys, Working on a 74 Duster and rebuilding the steering column coupler. WHAT is the secret to getting the cap back into place and getting the retaining tabs bent back into place?

Does the fact that the ferrules are not offset impact the function of the bushings? So, looks like I need to order 2 sets and I just want to make sure the extra cost is worth it. Again, Thanks for the input.

Thanks Red Fish, I'm talking about the amount of play the swivel has in the two halves of the lower control arm. It seem that the holes have been worn slightly (egged) to allow not only rotation but wobble.
