    Generally speaking, are A-Bodies "dorky?"

Most the time, my Dart doesn't even get a second look at the local shows or cruise-ins, but one time I went to a show at a local Community College where the judging was conducted by some of the college students. I drove away from that show with four trophies, including best of show.

    Wiper Linkage Parts

I am having a difficult time finding a wiper linkage part for my 73 Dart Sport. I need the bushing/retainer for the arm from the passenger side wiper, where it attaches to the wiper pivot, by the driver side wiper mechanism, under the dash. Does anyone have an idea where to get one?

Whats the best time for a factory stock duster 1/4 miles ??

In August of 1970 I bought my new, off the showroom floor, 70 Duster 340. It had a July build date, one of the last 70 production models. It was a 340, 4-speed, 3.55 suregrip. With just minor carb rejetting, and distributor recurve, I ran consistent 13.90's with the stock E-70 white stripe...

    Who was the Dusters/Demons competition?

I bought my 70 Duster 340, 4speed, 3.55 Suregrip new in August of 70, just before the 71's came out. I got it for $2600 out the door. It turned out to be a freak. Totally stock, on the E-70 Polyglass tires, it ran 13.90 quarters. I imbarrased many a 396 Chevelle with it. At the time, a friend...

    People think Mopar is slow??

I go to the local "cruise in" and don't get any respect. Not just because it's a Mopar, but also because it's a Mopar "A" Body. Though, last Saturday, I had some guy comment (and I don't think he knew I was the owner) "Jeez, puts a big block in a Dart, I can hardly handle the small block in my...

what are they teaching kids these days?...

I applaud you for spending the time with your kids, and teaching them about performance. When my son was younger, around eleven, I bought a 80 Z28 with a bad trans. The body was completely rust free and the motor ran good. Together, we added Cam, intake, carb, and headers to the motor (350). But...

New Project : Dodge Dart Sport

Great find. That's in better shape than what I started with. Though the floors, trunk and framerails were rust free on mine. I know, hard to believe. Mine turned out fairly well, in my mind anyway.

    The Mopar that slipped away

In 1970, when I bought my new 70 Duster 340/4speed B5 blue, the salesman tried to sell me a Superbird Hemi/ 4speed for the same price, $2600 out the door. At 19, I was into small, light weight, high performance cars. What did I want that huge monstrosity for? Little did I know. Not Mopars but...

Factory showroom stock it ran 13.90's on the white stripe polyglass E-70 tires. I used to blow away big block Chevelles and Camaros...

    First Car?

My first car was a 63 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertable with a 426, auto. I got it in 67 for $450. I sold it in 69 for $350. I found it for sale three years ago. It needed a total restore but was complete. The guy wanted $14,500. Needles to say, I didn't get it back.
