When starting fresh good wash, clay bar, maguiers polish, and there carnuba wax. The cleaner wax is also very good especially for older finishes.

Half way decent materials will cost 2k min. If the car needs no metal work and is straight as can be and you bring it in stripped you may get away with a job under 5k.

We'll seems the biggest interest is in the front spoilers and the rear duck tail type. I used a 67/68 camero front spoiler on my 71 demon and it looks good but the old MAS was. Different style that was cool.

I was thinking about this for myself in the future. I may build a cradle to hold the glass out of 2x4's, and maybe just pay a local glass company to remove it and come back when the car is painted and ready for install.

I painted the whole thing then sanded the raised fins. I did sand them before using 120, 220, 400, then 800 so they are polished.

It's called belt molding, it is very rare. My car had it added on in 79/80 or so along with other option. I think with a vinyl top it works great. Might take a while to find the right person who wants it if your selling.

Your welcome, what I should say is 71 demons from the factory were painted very low gloss black almost flat. Certainly a lot of cars were restored to semi or gloss or whatever the owner preferred but factory was very low sheen not quite organosol with the texture but you really couldn't wax it.
