    Spark plug legnth issue

    I went to put my RN12YC ,Champion Spark plugs in and on cylinder 5 n 7 the plugs are too long. There's no way I getting a spark plug socket on these even fully screwedin by hand. I know theres a shorty version of this plug any one got the # or Suggestions?

    What Red Said, If ya got no spark coming outta the cap, Thats a problem. Sure you not 180 out? #1 on the Dist points Towards front (12 o clock)when on TDC #1 Also, a GOOD/ Best ya can get Ground from Engine to Body/Battery never hurts. My 02 Eric

    I'd consider a new harness, that looks xtra burnt. There's no way of seeing what's left inside the Harness, unless ya untape it all n follow wire.

    My Easiest suggestion is to wire the + Batt wire thru a dissconnect switch Directly to the starter. From that point, Run another say 6-8GA wire to a Fuse box, My fuse box and Starter Switch came from a boat. Also, wire your alternator output to the battery side of the disconnect switch. The...

    Oh yeah, forgot to say undo pitman arm and left inner tierod ! It's one of the uglier jobs to do , just cause it's ALL in your way.

    More than likely ... remove dist cap or Dist, undo motor mounts and left headder, lift motor an inch or 2 and See what ya can wiggle, where... full size starters n headders are a pain , But it can be done. I wiggled mine in there, but took a while.

    I dont have the Quick link but most people change that amp guage to a voltmeter. With a few other upgrades. Dont worry it's nothing that cant be easily fixed. :angel9:

    Hey All, I'm relocating my battery into the R/R of my trunk. (73 Duster) What's the best route for the + cable ? I got the fuel line(s) running down the right side frame rail /subframe... I'd like a little distance between the fuel and electrical.. Any suggestions?

    Ignition Switch

    Sounds like the tumblers in the lock are worn out and one "fell down" preventing you from sticking the key in. Time for a new lock cylinder.

    Quick thought.. Check the electrical connector at the back of the head and make sure there's good connections in there.

    Dont forget to check the engine harness / body harness connector for a good connection on the output wire. I've run across a few melted ones before.

    Weird horn issue

    I'd start with checking the slip ring for the horn button, see if it's warped. But since you say it looks ok.. My only other Guess would be a pinched wire against the column.
