    My Cooling Improvement Project (hopefully)

Interesting subject. Four factors affect conduction of heat from one area to another are: 1) The difference of temperature (delta-T) between the warmer and colder areas; 2) The length of time (t) over which the transfer occurs; 3) The area (A) in common between the warmer and colder areas...

    Dopey question

OK, it's the "other method" for me. The amount of freon remaining in the system would be like a fart in a hurricane by now. Thanks.

    Dopey question

This might seem dopey to most of you, but I have never dealt with air conditioning in an old muscle car (or any other car for that matter). I am preparing to pull the 318 from my '68 'Cuda. It has factory air conditioning. Upon reassembly, I plan to use a more modern air conditioner with a...

    White Vingar Radiator Flush

Wow, a vinegar douche for a car radiator. Sorry, I guess someone had to say it.

    Which radiator for a 440?

I have been diligently acquiring parts and stripping the '68 Cuda. I want to ask you big block guys what radiator you run in your big block A-bodies. I know that Chrysler offered the 383 and 440 with the A-body, but the old radiators were only single cores and that multiple core radiators...

    Fan clutch failure?

Am I correct in assuming that a freewheeling fan, not powered, will act like an airplane propellor on a dead engine, in that the freewheeling prop will simply block airflow? Freewheeling props can be feathered, turning the blades into the relative wind, to reduce drag.

    Fan clutch failure?

Thanks, guys, I believe I will drain it, remove the radiator hoses, and run a hose through it to check for restriction. Would it make sense to use one of those canned radiator flushes beforehand?

    Fan clutch failure?

Fellows, I have a 1995 Dodge van with a V6 Magnum engine. I have checked a number of posts in this section, but I am unsure what my problem could be, but I suspect the fan clutch. I replaced the water pump last autumn. The temperature remains in normal range (normal for the entire time...

    Radiator Leak

I saw radiators being made on "How It's Made" on Discovery or TLC last week. They use plumbing solder.

    69 340 Swinger overflow tank

My '67 New Yorker and '68 GTX have no bottles. They just have a rubber hose running from the radiator cap neck, across the top of the radiator, and down the passenger side of the radiator, dumping onto the ground. My '68 Barracuda has the same set-up, but the previous owner half-assed...
