1957 Dodge Royal Lancer - road trip!

That's a beauty! I love the Mopar finned cars from the late 50's. I don't know why 57 Chevys get all the press. The Mopar cars are much more sexy and aggressive looking.

My M-Code Cuda is finally getting worked on

Congrats on getting things moving on your M code Jim. The pic on the truck reminded me of the pics I've seen of the hemi race Cudas being shipped from the factory. I love the M codes. My dream car would be a notch.

    340 actual horsepower

I rebuilt my 1970 340 engine to fairly stock specs. It is .030 bored over and has a Lunati Vodoo 703 cam along with roller rockers and 9.5 CR. Besides those mods, it has the factory intake, exhaust manifolds and Carter AVS. My break-in dyno run on the engine yielded 312 hp and 324 ft-lbs of...

    reworking a fully restored car

Even if you could get a lawyer involved, it ends up being a rocky road. The original body man who worked on my car filed for bankruptcy after I filed a lawsuit against him. Now it just becomes a long drawn out affair that at best will return pennies on the dollar. It is so frustrating to see how...

    reworking a fully restored car

I'm so sorry to hear that. It's a scenario like that which holds me back from thinking about primering and painting.

    Rare 1971 Demons.

I'm not sure if anybody makes or sells side molding similar to the original. My 1970 Duster 340 is a stripe delete car and the molding was removed prior to my brother purchasing it. I wrestle with the idea of ringing it back to 100% original or applying the black side stripes.

Whats the one Mopar you found but could never get your hands on???

I was a high school senior in 1979. There was a 1970 Superbird for sale by owner in my home town for $1,500. The hemi orange car was a 440 4-barrel automatic in mint original condition. I tried to get my father to loan me the money to purchase it, but when I took him to look at the car his...

    1969 Cuda A57 4 speed Whats it worth ?

As mentioned above, restoring an A body done mostly for the enjoyment of doing the work and the love of the car. If you intend to keep the car and you love it, the cost of restoration isn't as much of a factor. It's a different story if you purchase the car with hopes of flipping it for profit.

    reworking a fully restored car

I feel for you Cannucky. I've just started my legal battle withe body man who started work on my car. It never ceases to amaze me how unscrupulous some people can be. I guess they just don't have any concern for integrity.

The Superbird Wing Was Not "Idiotically-Ineffective" or "Dumb"

I had an opportunity to buy a used orange Superbird in 1979 for $1,500!! It was a mint original survivor with 440 4-barrel. I was 17 years old at the time and tried to float a loan from my father to buy it. He took one look at the car and said "what the hell do you want with a car like that" I...

    spoiler or no spoiler

I agree with DFX Duster. I like originality. If it was original to the car, I would keep it. My Duster didn't come with one so I'm not going to add it.

LED Dash Bulbs for 67 Barracuda

Thanks RedFish. I had all my gauges checked and calibrated when I got my speedo fixed. I also got rid of the mechanical voltage reg. I will check out the orange connector for an illumination test.

LED Dash Bulbs for 67 Barracuda

I installed LED's in my Duster 340 dash. The dash is restored and out of the car. Is there some way that I can check the lights now before it's installed to make sure the polarity is correct. I'm sure my 53 year-old neck and hands won't enjoy reaching up behind the dash once it's installed.
