Could be torque converter. How old it the harmonic balancer? After time the rubber gives out and the can cause a vibration. I had that problem with the 360 I had in my 67 cuda. A new one solved the problem.
I ran the B bodies (11/16" dia,) on my 67 Cuda and did not have to shorten center tube. I also ran the calipers on the front with a sway bar without issue, so, without a sway bar there is no reason to run them on the back.
Looks OK but the rear bar seems to be a bit large. I run a 1.25" front and .75" rear and it handles very well. I think having a 1" up front and .75" out back that the back will be too stiff and cause handling problems.
The upgrade was for all disk brake cars not just the V8's. Your car being drum brakes should be small bolt pattern. So you need the upper control arms, spindle and brake components from a 73+ disk brake A body. You will probably also want to change the rearend out to big bolt pattern, also...
Sorry Superdart,
I can't find them. After moving I can't find anything. I bought my poly boots from http://www.prothane.com/ through Quickor Suspension , there are places in your area if you can't find one some where else.
How soon do you need one? I can look this weekend and see if I kept the ones from my suspension rebuild since I switched to poly boots, so I have unused ones some where.
How much of the 73+ frontend do you have? If you have all the components than the super kit for 73+ will work as long as it has the idler and pitman arm and you have the center link and upper control arms from the swap frontend.
The front of the early A bodies is not as wide as the 67-72 so the bar will not fit but the did have swaybars on the 66 formula S barracudas so if you can find the bar will work. The other option is to have one made. Check Firm Feel to see if the make one for your application...
Having the rear bar stiffer then the front causes the inside rear tire to lift in a tight corner under hard acceleration. I have had this happen. Replaced bar one more matched to the front bar and that solved the problem. The way mine is setup now they were purchased as a matched set for my...
Very little suspension travel, almost no leaning in the corners. I have Quickor 1.25" front and 3/4" rear, probably more than is needed for the street but damn it handles like a slot car. Either Hellwig or Addco bars are fine. do you plan on doing a rear bar. If you do and buy a 1 1/8" for the...
The.920's will be stiffer, I would stay with the original bars unless you want a firmer ride. Not knowing what is in your 69 cuda engine and suspension wise i would guess you have .870 bars and those are available. I have .890 bars (heavy duty suspension) in my 67 with KYB gas shocks and a...
