68 A body pitman arm removal

You need a Pitman arm puller. You may be able to rent one since it sounds like you don't have one. You won't be able to remove the Pitman arm without the tool. You first have to remove the nut and then the arm. An impact gun works best to remove the nut as it will be hard to keep the shaft from...

What size are your tires? They look pretty tall to me and your rear springs look like could be replaced. The front end may be set high to give more clearance for the headers.

The ball joint is bigger and the diameter is larger. Take an old SBJ control arm for comparison. The smaller ones are more prevalent, as the big ones are usually 73 and up.

    Steering Box Removal

It is imperative to have a pitman arm puller to remove the arm. If there is a lot of rust, soak it good with penetrant. Since I'm in Ca. I don't have to deal with the rust issues in salt country. I have never had a problem removing a pitman arm, and have never had to use heat to remove one. I...

    Removing dowel steering shaft

You need a roll pin punch to remove it. A roll pin punch has a convex hump in the middle that seats in the pin. Different than a flat punch. It shouldn't be that hard to remove with proper punch.

How old are your tires? I have a 64 Fairlane that had a bad wandering problem. New suspension components, tightened box, aligned for old car with radial tires. Tires had little wear but were 10 -11 years old. New tires vastly improved handling.

    K frame

I believe 67 and up K members are wider than earlier ones and different between slanty and V-8. 73 and up are spool mount K members. 63-66 K members are the same whether 6 or V-8. The center link is different for V-8 cars.

74 Duster advice please on raising rear 2 in

Check General Spring. I have a 64 Fairlane, I got their stock rear springs for it. Raised rear of car 1.5-2 ". They had another spring choice that would raise it 2.75 ". They may have the same option for Mopar. I believe the springs with polyurethane bushings included were about $140.00 each.

Need guidance taking off center link

Or use a tie rod separator at tie rod ends. Less chance of damage when using the proper tool. If you have to remove it from steering box you will need a pitman arm puller.

    Are A-body Barracudas considered uni-bodies?

The simplest answer is that any vehicle that doesn't have a separate frame is a unibody. Early Camaro's had a bolt on front sub frame, but I would consider the body itself, as a "unibody".

'73 Dart Sport 340 H Code leaf spring replacement recommendation

I have run across A body spring hangers with a smaller or a larger bolt. I would think that the diameter of the bolt hole in the bushing and the size of the eye in the spring would be the only thing relevant to the bushing. Sounds like a weird problem. One would think that the spring would...

'73 Dart Sport 340 H Code leaf spring replacement recommendation

Yellow rose, 73 up may have had a larger bolt for the front hanger. I believe Mopar Performance springs use the larger bolt even when used in 63-66 applications.

K-Member Removal with Engine in Place?

They make supports mostly for front wheel dive cars that would sit on the fender aprons and the engine can be supported by chains attached to it like when one pulls an engine. Parts stores or a rental place might rent these. It would probably be a lot of money to purchase one of these for a one...
