After further research on this Idea I found several companies that make exactly what i was trying to do. So I take back this whole post unless I want to market the red neck heater defroster unit using the converter and hair dryer . Ha- Ha Bob

I am currently putting in a Painless in my sons Duster, If you take your time and do it right ,Painless is the way to go.Key word is "take your time" It is definately time consuming .

For what its worth,same thing happened to Bryce's Duster,turned out it was aground problem.We moved the wires on the foot dimmer switch and all the lights came on.The horn sounds like a nother problem though. Hope this helps---Bob
