    72 Dart raised body lines

It was a joke son. Darts and Demons have great lines, just don't know why you'd want to do a bunch of work to change that.

What color is my 1970 duster

Yep, I'd say B5 for sure. My interior is B5. If you have an automotive paint supply store anywhere near you, they can mix up some and put it in spray cans for you. That's how I redid my interior. Place I use to get mine had a two can minimum.

Mirrors from other cars on your Mopar?

Unfortunately I dont have pics, but when I had a 72 Scamp that I used as a daily driver for 7 years. I bought aftermarket black rectangular mirrors for it, I thought it looked pretty good at the time, and way way way more functional that the stock little round mirrors.

trunk lid torsion bar holder problem

I had the same, or similar problem. I cut a piece of 1" wide strap iron, several inches long (sorry didn't have time to measure it). I cut a groove in the end for the torsion bar to sit in and push against. I bolted it in. I attached pics so you could get the idea. Never mind the twisted looking...

    Opinion on hood color?

I don't think black hoods look right, unless the black is continued back to the windshield. To me anyway, just having a black hood, makes me think you didn't have the money to paint it, or like you just bolted it on to see what it looks like.

Windshield install - gasket to body first?

I did it on my 68 Dart by myself (which I don't recommend) Always helps to have a second person. But I did mine by putting the gasket in the opening first, then set the windshield into the bottom of the gasket, and used the rope trick to work the glass into the gasket.

    Floppy rear view mirror

I gave up on mine, I got a nice rearview mirror from a Saturn at the salvage yard. Just about the same size and shape, and it's nice and tight. Plus has the day/night adjustment. It has the mount that glues to the windshield.

You could buy a stripe kit from member ChallengerGary. That's were I got mine. If you want dimensions so you can paint one on, we need to know exactly what stripe you want to use. The 68 or the 69 type stripe ?

Gas Struts on The trunk lid? Here you go.

Yep, the electric trunk release is the next thing on my list. Roll in to a car show, push the button and trunk comes up all on its own.

Gas Struts on The trunk lid? Here you go.

Ok, I'm sure there's more than one way to skin a cat, I know it cause I just finished doing this to my car. But I went a little differently. My torsion rods were shot, would not open the trunk, or hold it open. I got tired of it falling on my head. So here's a few pics of what I did, and a...

69 Dart Trunk Lift Supports in action

Ok, here's a few pics of how I did mine. They are almost invisible with the trunk open, you don't really notice them at all. I took a 5/16" bolt and ground the head down, then welded it to the end of the existing torsion rod, did this on both of them. Then mounted my strut straight...

69 Dart Trunk Lift Supports in action

I was using a 2x4, looks pretty bad at a car show when you have to prop the trunk open with a board so you can get your stuff out.

69 Dart Trunk Lift Supports in action

His old bars were probably like mine, they were so worn out that they would no longer hold the trunk lid up. And like his, my original bars had destroyed the sheet metal where they sit on one end. I made a bracket to support that end of the rod, but still need to add the struts to get the lid...

69 Dart Trunk Lift Supports in action

Very nicely done, and thanks for passing the part number information along to us. I've been playing with this for a while, but been having a hard time figuring placement, and what struts to use. The ones for sale at the local Advance auto parts, have no mention of the weight rating on the...

Rear side glass goes up and down hard.Cure?

I need to work on mine too. I've cleaned and lubed everything but I have broken / missing rollers. I ordered a couple a long time ago, went to put them on and they were the wrong ones. I'd really like mine to work, right now you have to lift up on the window and crank at the same time. sucks

    Home painted ,car guys.....

Painted my Dart at home, in my 16x20 garage. Base/Clear, came out real nice after a wet sand and buff. Had around $1000 in it, paint, primer, clear, sandpaper, etc.

    trunk torsion rods

Mine are worn out, they wont lift the trunk lid, or even hold it up once it's open. I'm considering adding gas charged struts, or even replacing the rods with the struts.

    69 Dart with 68 Stripes

People seem to like the 68 double stripe. It was a one year only stripe. But I have seen lots of pictures of both 67 and 69 cars with the 68 stripe.

Can you put a 73 Duster grill in a 75 Scamp

Looking at a 75 Scamp as a possible daily driver. Don't like the 75 grill, just wondering if the 73-74 style grill would be a bolt in change, or is there more involved ? I know with a little work and the right parts, the back end can be converted to the 71-73 style. Thanks

How do I sand this down!?

Ummmm yeah, right, and while your there pic up some new muffler bearings too. And be sure to ask for the green ones, not the tapered roller style. Better performance and less noise.
