In 1968 carpeted sides were part of an interior package. 1968 only had bottom dash pad. In 1969 the fold down back seat was optional. Each year got progressively cheaper. The 150MPH speedo w/trip came as an interior package, so I don't think you will find a 1968 150MPH speedo w/o a woodgrain...

I would think that a 1968, 150mph would fit a 1967. All 150mph speedo's had tripometer, some 120mph did also. To add to the confusion, I have owned two 1968 cuds's, late '68, and both of them had screw-on cables. If one wants a 150mph speedo, any should work. Make sure you get the knob with it.

Same in the trunk- new carpet will go under the trim, no screws.

Fastbacks are unique as they are "bolt-in" bottom cushions. Legendary makes great stuff.

Carriage bolts will work. Seats bolt directly to the floor, no spacers unless you need more height.

I would consider making a couple of "hooks" to attach to the back and hook them on that cross brace.

There are no "new" speedo's. Take your speedo to the local speedo shop and they will check it out, lube it, check it for accuracy. New decals for the face if needed.

There is a bracket held in place by the three screws of the sun visor. The shoulder harness snaps into this. The remaining loose end is secured by the snap near the back side of the strap near the mounting bolt.

Is the cable new? Did you lubricate it? If all that is correct, then the problem is in the head. It needs servicing, take it to your local speedo shop.

Yes, '69 was optional. If your floorpan has the welded-in nuts to accept the hinge bolts (and shims), I would think you're OK.

Bouncing needle is often caused by a bad cable. Checking for a bad cable by holding one end of the cable in a vice and while holding the opposite end try to twist the cable in either direction. If you can twist the cable in either direction 1/4 turn or more- you have a bad cable, make a new one...

For Barracuda- could only be a 1967 as this was the only year of rally dash and regular radio knobs. '68- '69 were thumbwheel radio's and '70- were "E" bodies. Might be different with Darts.

You are right, good eye. Here are pics of my original boot (w/console so no chrome, but should be same dimensions). Measures 7 1/2" by 5 1/4".

If yours are like my '68, there are two. There is one long, black strong one that aids in moving the seat forward and back, and one small yellow one to return the adjustment lever to it's closed position. The springs are only on the outside track.

All cars have a tunnel to clear whatever trans is in it. All consoles are smaller than the tunnel upon which they sit. Most race cars have no console, what purpose would it serve?

If your plastic base is OK, then it looks like there's a problem with the hinge. Only better pictures will tell.

Some of the Darts had it in the console and not in the dash. Barracuda's were all in the dash.
