    Demon non-option question

My Uncle bought a new red 71' 198ci in Maryland that mirrors yours almost exactly except it was a 3spd.

    Plum Crazy or Citron Yella?

Buy the one that has the most original parts and the least amount of rust. Both are rare these days.

Will the 7576 intake fit a stock 318 with stock 318 heads

Fit...Yes. There will be some port mismatch, still a nice gain over a stock 2bbl intake.

    Should I buy this 440?

Do you have plans for it. I wouldn't get it to stick under the workbench. Looks like the pass side valve cover has been off.....maybe looking for sludge/damage. Like said before, if it spins, probably a good deal.

How much drag should there be rotating my rear wheel in neutral. My brakes are not dragging

Of course there will be some drag.....spinning the r&p and driveshaft. Curious the reason/problem why you're asking?

    Your first mopar...?

Ain't that the truth...lol. Mine was a 69' Coronet 440 2dr 318 i got from my aunt. Was 1976 it was white with black int. and vinyl top. Had it painted red and was so pretty, but i got a offer i couldn't refuse and sold it 3 months later. Mainly because i still had my SS Chevelle and a work...

    Your Thoughts....

I personally like the chrome accents, but you've done such a nice job, i think i'd leave them as is.

    Cams for Dummies ??

Good ask, but probably the most controversial subject in hot rodding. So many variables that there is no such thing as the perfect camshaft. That said, there are reasonable guidelines that are widely used for the average engine builder and most of the info you'll find here is from many years of...

    Approximate horsepower

As long as the compression is up to snuff, you'll make a massive amount of tq in the 2800 to 4500 range. You will be power limited upstairs, but if this is mainly a street car, i'd run no more then 3.23 gear, a tight 3k converter and cruise, cruise, cruise with the ability to smoke the tires into...

Not mine, but what a fun car at a really good price!

Very nice car for the mid 70's. Not huge fan of the AMX package as i prefer the basic Hornet like the earlier SC360. Those AMC cars were pretty light so it doesn't take much to make a nice street package. I'm sure a ''Kelvinator'' fan will grab that if they can bargain the price down a bit.

    Advance slot chart ?

I really have nothing to add here other then i feel your pain on the tuning of a combo like that. Mid 80's and my bud had another brand smallblock built with very similar specs, 11.7 with iron heads and a [email protected] with a tight 3800 stall. I worked the dizzy and 750 carb on and off for months and...

Buying an engine from ebay... GOOD OR BAD?

What are you looking for. I have no idea where ''Chuko'' is. That said, if you're in the lower 48, there should be a reasonable engine within driving distance if you can be patient. Like i said, not sure what you want, but Magnum small blocks seem to be a dime a dozen listening to the members here.

    Just a Fury update

Congrats on your progress. This is my first time seeing this, but i think it's very cool and who doesn't love a old school ''fin'' car. Best of luck as you guys continue on.

    What is this ?

From what i understand, all Formula S cars had the engine call out in the side stripe. Whether they allowed a stripe delete idk. The other easily identible thing is the blackout tail panel. Surely it has probably been repainted some time in it's life, but if there is a hint of black back there...

    3 Second mopar sighting

Not sure why i'm posting this, but i briefly saw a car go past the house today that gave me a shiver...lol. I had my attached garage door open and as i was stepping out of the house to take a trash bag out and a 68/69 Valiant went past. I've never seen it before, but it was bad assed. F8...

1971 Dodge Dart Rancho Cordova, CA. Pick-N-Pull (Not Mine)

I wonder who put a 8 3/4" in that Dart? Never seen a 318/auto with one. Stick only 3 spd cars as far as i know.

    Motor issues.

I'd give a little more initial timing a try and then adjust the curve if necessary?

Not an A, but considering buying it.

It's got a booster... Looks like a nice driver, but the 3 tree might get old after a while...

Street Freaks, Customs, Rods, Street Machines...60's 70's 80's

Me and my bud. We used to race each other in time trials for the brackets. Duster was a stock 340/auto/323 w/only a 471" hemi grind cam and 273 rockers. Mine was a all stock 396-325/4spd/4.10's with a ton of tuning. Our best run together was, me a 13.98@97 an he went 14.01@100. And our track...

    Wheel opinions needed

Closest thing i found on the net with a black stripe... If you like that, it's cool. I personally would run the turbines for now, but that car is really asking for a little pop in the wheels. I personally would save up and put something chrome or polished on it down the road. jmo :)

    Cuda Gills on a Dart?

I could live with the gills. What going on with tail end of that thing? I can't imagine the $$$ it would take to finish it. I'll pass.
