Yes they are 1/4, I always just use grade 8 bolts from the hardware store with lock washers. I believe they are about 3/4" long.

Pushrod for hydraulic cam and 273 rocker arms

I agree a push rod length tool should be used to determine proper length before ordering. They can be purchased for around $20.

Pushrod for hydraulic cam and 273 rocker arms

I also found this out the hard way too, I needed push rods that were 7.250" from the ball to the top of the cup. So I ended up having a custom set made from a company called OE Push Rods, was around $65 shipped to my door.

Adj. Rockers & Push Rod Help

This is my first time using adjustable rockers. I have 273 factory adjustable rockers on a 340 with a MP .508" hydraulic cam. The first thing I did was replace the original adjusters on the rocker arms with crane cam ones with a jam nut. Next I ordered a push rod length checker. With the...

How do you seal your small block intake?

I have always put some RTV around both sides of the coolant ports, and used the cork ends also with RTV on both ends and never had any leaks.

    Getting a 318 running?

I would inspect the main/rod bearings, pull the heads and check out the cylinders. If everything looks decent I would just re gasket it and put it back together.

    Summit brand cams? advice needed

I ran the .441" lift Summit cam in a mild 318, engine also had milled 360 heads, edelbrock performer intake, and headers. I was very impressed with the performance, it pulled strong to 5,500 RPM.

71 340 short block sat outside for last 15 years. still any good?

I believe the machine shop gave it a Acid bath, the rust in the cylinders had no pitting at all. All of the rust was just like powder.

    318 upgrades

I have run the .441"/.441" Summit cam in a mild 318 in a '72 Dart with good results. I also had headers, Edelbrock performer intake & 600 cfm carb. The little 7 1/4 rear didn't like it very mutch though even with a 904.
