In an effort to give back to the community...

I would expect there are some folks out there who would want these. However, one of the first "upgrades" I did on my 74 Duster was to remove the bumper guards, LOL.

Mopar High Impact Colors - Pretty Cool Reference Photos

Here is a link to some very cool photos of Mopar's High Impact Colors. Not sure how complete or correct it is, but looks pretty good. Too many E-bodies, but still cool. I hope this hasn't been posted before. https://news.classicindustries.com/mopar-paint-high-impact-colors

shark tooth grille on a 70/71 dart

I like that you are having Mopar A-body BS sessions with young guys. That is great! Thanks for helping keep the hobby alive and well.

Finally found how the exhaust fumes were leaking into the car

Harley guys? When we lived in north-central Pennsylvania (small rural town), there was a local guy who rode his Harley all winter long, assuming he rode to work, because I would see him about every day. He had what looked like the frame for a side car attached to it, and a large car battery...

Hello to all a newbie from germany needs help

Welcome to FABO and good luck on the project. Looks pretty nice to me, aside from the shock tower issue. AMD has inner fender replacements, but don't the other components you need.

66 Barracuda Hood Buffeting at 70+ mph

Just curious, could there be extra air sneaking in under the hood somehow? I had a 66, but it's been too long. Do they have an air dam under the radiator support or anything like that? Splash guards all in place, if they exist?

    Filler panel paint color???

Not a Dart, but on my 74 Duster they were a silver gray. Of course keep in mind it was 35+ years old when this photo was taken. Hope it helps.

    hood accents?

I always liked the added stripe around the accent like on this dual scoop Demon. Just seems to add some flare. Maybe you could incorporate it in you single accent area. (For some reason, I could not comment in the post with the photo).

    Rubber bumper thingies

Bumper guards? I just put chrome bumper bolts on my duster. Covered the holes nicely, got rid of the crappy look and removed 200 lbs of weight. LOL

looking for qq-1 in a rattle can

Auto paint supply store can mix and put in an aerosol can for you. (Maybe I should say "some" stores)

This may help those that need help finding that honest body shop

This is really good stuff, thanks for posting it. I worked at a fair sized resto shop for awhile and mostly they followed some good business practices, but also some "not so good" business practices. They had some very talented people and did some great work, and for that matter were a class...

    v6x code

You'll have to sift through these but it will be fun. Should be something close in there somewhere. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=180047

    POLL-Paint or undercoat?

Paint and dynamat or similar. If you decide to undercoat, I would look for a spray on bed liner material that doesn't get too brittle and remains somewhat pliable.

    Duster....

I used a duster on my Duster for 7 years without issues, BUT it was a nice survivor with original paint, so maybe it makes a difference with whatever paint you use it on? It certainly wasn't a show car finish. I kept it waxed and used the California duster and Meguiar's Quik Detailer. I NEVER...

Number 1 looks the best and seems to be the way it is done most often.

anyone sell just the lower part of rear valance?

Look anything like this? This is how mine looks after removing all the bondo. I swear someone took a ball peen hammer to it, after drilling and ripping the drivers side of it up. Also a rip/crease in the right side. :banghead:

    Duster Hood Options

Sometime I need to pull out the old pics and scan some more. This is the best I could do. My hood had the organsol treatment with the strobe stripe in the middle. First time I waxed the car, I waxed the organsol and what a mess. Got all milky, chalky looking. Can't remember how I cleaned it off...

    Duster Hood Options

Trying to find a picture of my original 72 like yours, only with a black vinyl roof. I am curious though, that hood looks like gloss black. Just the photo? Bought mine new, and it's been gone a long time.

    Accent Stripe

My buddy bought a new 68 340, red w/black vinyl top and white double stripe on the lower body. It was very cool, but that is probably 68 trim. Sorry, no pics either.

Twister hood - flat black or satin?

I vote flat. Seems like with improvement with finishes these days, fading shouldn't be a problem. Back in the day, I made the mistake of waxing the hood on my 72 Duster 340 and had a terrible time getting that milky coating off the black.
