I just started messing with mine today. My snap ring id .060,guess I need to machine pressure plate.

I got .010 dry, 5 clutches and steels. Big fat steel on top. Mines to tight and looking for .075-.080" at top pressure plate and snap ring.

He has a 904 and above link is for 727. Correct B&M flex plate would be 10239 www.jegs.com/i/B-M/130/10239/10002/-1

BS maybe stuck it in a A518, 46RH, 46RE transmissions won't fit a 904.

Slip yoke are different between 727 and 904,727 has more splines. ... Just have your driveshaft shortened by a driveshaft shop. Your rear u joint already bolts up to your rear end. Slip yoke in the front can be purchased thru any drive shaft shop.... Try inland truck parts on hwy 290. Maybe...

Wow what predudice. ..Ricky here in town is one best builder in town and he works at Aamco. Of course I build my own.

I bet it is still low on fluid,when you put the dipstick in it scraps some of the fluid from the tube on to the stick and other side gets nothing....full is the same on both sides and in neutral running.

How many quarts of fluid did you put back in it after the filter change? You do know you have to check the fluid in neutral....

The picture you posted with the U-joint sticking out ARE THE WRONG U-JOINT, Do not use it !!! My 66 Dart post came with a /6 and no rubber drive shaft .

Here is a thought...Need a good shop see how much work they got.... All you shop owners like me are booked due to our good reputation.... I adjust my labor rate to my expenses and it has risen 3x in the last four years and I still am booked... Matter of fact I am at work right now...got love...

Anyone thought of taking their convertor to a local re-builder to have one built to specs...We got a re builder here that does the Austin area... Surely someone local to you all rebuilds them,call your local transmission shop and ask who they use. Martin

If missing 3rd only then adjusting the throttle pressure linkage.

If no reverse and 3rd.I suspect front clutches or front clutch seal. Martin

Sounds like you are losing pressure,but if you had some trash in the pan your filter maybe clogging up after 10 minutes of driving and starving the pump.Changing the filter and fluid may fix it,at least when you have the pan off you can look for the magnet on the pan and see how much metal is...
